A few of the editors here at Prime Publishing recently took a trip to sunny California and attended the annual Craft & Hobby Association 2016 Trade Show. This annual show gives us a sneak peek at all of the hot new trends in the crafting world. We were not only lucky enough to play with all of the new craft supplies that will be hitting stores this year, but we also got a front row seat the Lion Brand Fashion Show.
The theme of this year’s Lion Brand’s fashion show was “The Shape of Things to Come” and included a beautiful variety of knit and crochet patterns featuring a variety of different geometric shapes including circles, squares, triangles, and more. One hot trend we could not ignore was fringe! This is certainly a fun finishing touch that can be applied to practically anything you work up, including shawls, afghans, ponchos, and more.
Check out a video clip below featuring real footage straight from the runway, plus get a sneek peak of other exciting yarns coming your way later in 2016 from our friends at Lion Brand. I think you are really going to love their upcoming “Shawl in a Ball” line of yarn — one ball is all you need to make a shawl! 🙂
