As we all know, Valentine’s Day is this coming Sunday. It’s a holiday that’s become associated with so many things – romance if you’re in a relationship, bitterness if you’re single, and chocolate no matter what your relationship status (hopefully!) It’s also a holiday that gets a lot of hate – after all, shouldn’t you appreciate your significant other every day of the year? It seems like an excuse for companies to capitalize on the power of love!
This year, we at Stitch and Unwind wanted to bring a little more meaning to Valentine’s Day than just roses and conversation hearts. All week, we’re encouraging you to #StitchWithLove and see how you can make a difference through knitting and crochet! We’ll be bringing you all the info on yarn-related charities, organizations to support, and ways that you can show you care through your craft (all while bringing you plenty of free patterns, of course!)
If you end up working up any of these fun projects, share a picture with us on social media by tagging #StitchWithLove – we’d love to see what you come up with! The schedule of posts is as follows:
Day 1: #StitchWithLove: Spread the Love with Knitting and Crochet + GIVEAWAY!
Day 2: #StitchWithLove: 16 V-Day Gifts for Gals
Day 3: #StitchWithLove: Prayer Shawls for a Cause
Day 4: #StitchWithLove: Empowerment through Knitting and Crochet
Day 5: #StitchWithLove: Charity Afghan Pattern
In addition to all of these love-ly posts (get it?) you also have the chance to win this amazing prize pack: three skeins of Red Heart With Love yarn and a copy of Mochi-Mochi Land by Anna Hrachovec!
This giveaway has ended! Congratulations to our winner, Deb Rowley!
Who in your life are you thankful for this Valentine’s Day?

I am thankful for my husband, who has been so patient with my craft and needlework projects over the years. He has encouraged me when I doubted myself and resigned himself to projects strewn all over the house. I don’t know what I would do without him.
how do you enter
My dear husband and daughter. So thankful for them everyday.
I’m so thankful for my sister. Without her I’m not sure this SAHM thing would even be do-able. Sometimes she’s just there, not even out with me doing things, just around, chatting and pretending we aren’t both about to eat half the cookie dough before we bake the rest for the kids.
I’m thankful for my husband who has loved me unconditionally for the last 22 years. He is my best friend, supportive, loving, funny, and generous.
I’m super thankful for my husband, especially for being such a great father to our daughter.

I’m thankful for my two awesome daughters. I am so lucky to be able to say I am their Mom. I am truly blessed. Hugs and kisses for all the joy they have given me.
I have to say I too am thankful for my significant other. I have RSD and crocheting is very good therapy for me (when I can stand it). Wayne always supports me in it. He cooks awesome dinners and brings me a plate so I can continue on with my task and never complains. He is so helpful. He isn’t afraid to get his hands wet and will do dishes for me too. When I think he isn’t listening a month later he will surprise me with something I had spoke with him about while all along I’m thinking he never heard a word I said lol. (most frustrating). Anywho, wishing you all a lovely Valentines day best of luck to us all :).
I am thankful for my family. They have been so helpful since they found a blood clot in my leg and they need to do surgery to do a bypass on my leg. They could not resolve the clot. They have helped me with laundry. Getting things at the store. My Dad takes me to doctor appts. I don’t know what I would do without them. I love them so so very much.
I’m grateful for my kids. My older girl sees me stressed about something, hugs me, and says “mama, knit some yarn”. They know what I need before I do.
I am truly thankful for my son, my two daughters, my parents and my pets, I love them all so much, they are my inspiration and motivation. They are the reason I survived my stroke and continue to move forward every single day. Everything I do, I do because of them.

I am thankful for my husband, a veteran, who lets me be me, lets me crochet my heart out and buy yarn without complaint.
This Valentine’s day I am grateful for my daughter, Angela. She has learned to crochet and now is better at it than I am. I am so proud of her continuing this tradition in our family as my mom and grandmother both crocheted. I know that my daughter will also pass this labor of love down to her daughter Lorelai (now 2 yrs. old), when she becomes old enough to hold a crochet hook by herself. It is the “thread” that connects us all, even after some are gone.
My aunt who taught me that I can do anything I want in knitting. She gave me the confidence to become an accomplished knitter and so thoroughly enjoy the craft.
I am thankful for my wonderful friends and neighbors. I am recently widowed, and they have all been so good to me. Two different neighbors came to clear my driveway when we got 14″ of snow recently. I crocheted a lot while watching the snow!
I am most grateful for my husband who has always supported me in whatever I’ve chosen to do whether it was that I wanted to go back to school or that I wanted to go back to work or even if I’ve wanted to buy a single skein or 50 skeins of yarn. In 52+ years, he’s never not let me follow my dreams.
He never tells me that he doesn’t agree with anything I might want to knit or crochet and he’s especially supportive of the hundreds of chemo hats and preemie hats along with the lap robes that I’ve donated over the years.
I’m very grateful that he has always supported any “project” that I’ve ever gotten myself involved in.
Thankful and appreciative of my adorable husband, and my wonderful son, currently stationed in the Germany in the USArmy. I’ve returned to crochet after many years and find it so very restful and soothing!

I would have to say my husband, definitely…I have been going through a health issue for the last 14 months and my husband has been by my side every step of the way. He picked up chores that I normally did so that I would be able to rest. He has done so much for me that words just cannot express my love and appreciation for him.
I am so thankful for my husband of 32 years who puts up with my crafting and hoarding of supplies. He is patient and kind and takes me places to feed my habit!
This Valentine’s Day and every Valentines’ Day since I lost my husband 11 years ago, I am thankful that I had him in my life for thirty years of a wonderful marriage. He always supported whatever I was doing, especially handicrafts I loved making so much.
I have so many in in this world for whom I am thankful. I am most thankful for my husband who has been through so much with me with cancer treatment. Yet, he has stood by me through it all. I thank God every day that He has given me the person He knows I need in my life.
There are so many people in my life to be thankful for, lucky me. But the person that springs to mind when I read this question today is someone that I don’t even know. And yet, this person changed my life!
A few years ago I was at a place in my life where I finally had the time and patience to take up knitting. Unfortunately, I have serious hand problems and after just a couple of hours my hands were so seized up with so much pain that I had to start physiotherapy, and was told to stop knitting altogether. Very disappointing!
About one and1/2 years ago I wandered into a little yarn shop just to ooh and ahh. I told the woman there my story and she suggested bamboo circular needles as an option. She even sold me one at half price!
It works! I can knit and I love it. I am not very good yet, but I LOVE it. I went back recently to tell her that she has changed my life, and I am very grateful to her.
I am MOST grateful for a husband who has stepped up and taken care of me when I was going through my heart surgery then through cancer. He’s always been there for me He never complains when I decide to make another hat or afghan or baby blanket for someone. He is very supportive of me and I LOVE him more than words or deeds could ever say or do! He is my very soul!

I’m thankful for 4 healthy children, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, a beautiful granddaughter and 2 more grandbabies on the way.
Thankful for family, 4children,12grands. And my husband of almost 60 years
My husband!! I am starting an out-of-town five week training for a new flight attendant job. He doesn’t want me to go, but he supports me and will take care of all the animals and projects at home by himself. after training I will be home for three days before I head out again to work out of O’Hare airport (Chicago) flying home about two days per week. I am going to miss him terribly, but flying is my passion!! We will be planning some great date nights!!

I am most thankful for two wonderfully kind and considerate adults who I call son and daughter. I am thankful that my husband provided well enough that I could stay home and raise these two beautiful children. I am also thankful in that he continues to provide so that I can work in a job I love with people I love in the security of knowing that my husband is there for me always. And I am thankful that I have the talent or gift from God that I can use to help less fortunate people with my knitting and crocheting. Life is good!
I will be eternally grateful for my husband ‘s unconditional love and affection, as well as our daughters. I am also truly grateful for the opportunity to be a grandmother to a wonderful 2 year old granddaughter.
My husband’s love and devotion to me. He is constantly showing his love in so many little ways on a daily basis. I am so thankful that we found each other and I love him so much!
A nearly-ninety-year-old former neighbor (I’ve moved away) is still singing her heart out at a seniors’ apartment complex. Her love of music and her ability to encourage others and share it is inspiring – I want to be her at that age!
I’m so grateful for my teen daughters. Growing up in a male household I find each day both challenging and a source of great joy. They help me to be a more understanding & compassionate person by simply loving them through the tough times. And of course my hubby who gladly makes emergency yarn runs!

First, I am humbly thankful to the Lord Jesus Christ for His salvation! Second, to my husband Marvin, who fills my life with joy and laughter. Third, my daughter who challenged me during her growing up years, and who is about to learn the secrets (and pitfalls) of motherhood herself 🙂
I am thankful for my Sis, my niece and all of my friends. We have been together
through the good times and the bad times. They helped me through the difficult
times following my husband’s death. They are a vital part of my life.
The best happy partner who does a good deed every day as he says it gives him great joy.
My gym buddies for help and support when l needed it after rehabilitation programme.
A best friend who helped me see the funny side of life when things got tough.
And of course you dear heart for your patterns, newsletters and being there.
It’s nice to be important but its more important to be nice.
I am thankful for my sister who helps me out all the time.
I am thankful for my husband of almost 38 years. He has been patient with me and supports me in all my crafty endeavors.
I am so thankful and great full for my husband. I fell of a roof in 2000. After five surgeries, I am currently in physical therapy for the (lost count) time. We have a 13 yoa son, who is very active in soccer. Because of my medical situation, i cannot drive. My husband works over 40 hours a week. He comes home and cook dinner, do the lundary, clean the house, and every Tuesday take our son to soccer practice. He cooks breakfast daily, and make sure our son gets off to school. He help our son with his homework, if needed. On weekends, he get up, prepare breakfast, take our son, (by the way, our son was diagnosied last year with type one diabetes), to his two soccer games. Come home prepares lunch, check out son’s blood sugar levels. Take me and our son to ALL our doctor appointments. And not once do he complain. He always put us first. He is the maid, cook, housekeeper, taxicab driver, the caretaker, and so on. Do I need to say anymore as to why I am thankful for such husband, except that weI love him and thank God daily, for him.
I am thank for another Valentine’s Day with my husband who was very sick during the holidays 2015. I thought I was going to loose him. With prayers and God’s healing, he is better.
I am thankful for my husband – we celebrate our 30 year anniversary on Feb. 15th – and the wonderful children our love has gifted in our lives. We have two young adult children that are doing amazing things — contributing to nurturing and helping children and youth to succeed academically and thrive socially!
My Children and Grandchildren they give me a reason to live.
For my husband. Even during difficult times it feels better knowing we go through everything together.
I am thankful for the two loves of my life: my husband and daughter.
I am very thankful for my sister. There’s only two of us, and our parents have been gone for a while now. My sister told me before my mother died that she would be there for me afterwards (my mother was the 2nd parent to die) and she has lived true to her word starting from day one. I have a mental illness and often need support or someone to advocate for me, and she is always there without fail. She lets me share all holidays with her family since I am not married, and often has me down to her house for extended visits to give me a change of scenery from my small apartment and also to see my niece and nephew and share different crafts with them. The love and caring she has for me is immeasurable and I don’t know what I’d do without her!
I am thankful for a generous husband. I have yarn everywhere, papercrafts, and jewelry making supplies overflowing from my craft room. This has taken over our little house. He rarely complains. He just asks that I enjoy what I do. I do I do!
I am so thankful for my husband, whose sweaters are all knit by me in token of that love and gratitude. I am grateful for my knitting community, the Knitting Guild of Greater Buffalo. And I am thankful for Fox Run, the community I live in.
It’s hard to name one specific person. All of my life I’ve loved crafts and art. Younger years mom taught me, knitting, crocheting and sewing. But more important then learning was the constant support and compliments I would receive. It’s something that would always encourage me and helped my low self esteem immensely.
Friends, family, so many giving encouragement.
In later years, I became depressed as my children left home. Then I started to get a tremor in my hands. I was out of work for the first time in my life at 55. That caused more depression. I had never experienced applying for jobs and being rejected over and over. More depression. Tremor getting worse. Now I can’t write, knit, quilt, sew etc.
I finally ask my neurologist about brain surgery for the tremor. Three surgeries between 8/2015 and 11/2015.
Now, I can do everything again! Everything. No more depression. Knitting, weaving, spinning eating, etc.
I guess that makes me great fun to everyone that I have crossed paths with during my lifetime. Thank you everyone that has made my life fulfilling.
I am so thankful for my wonderful husband. He is such a blessing in my life.
I am most thankful for my family. As we grow older, gifts and material things are not as important. My girls and their families live in other states . It is so gratifying when we can spend time together. I have 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson and they are especially important to me. I tell them “you make my heart smile”. I would definitely say I am most thankful for my family. It is not the big items in life, but the little things, the I Love You’s, the hugs and just being together, talking on the phone or skyping.
My number one support – my son. I am thankful to him for giving me a home as I leave an abusive marriage, support in driving me where I need to go until I get a vehicle, and understanding my need for quiet time when I have had a stressful day.
I am most thankful for my husband and son.
I am thankful for having 2 wonderful grandchildren to love and hug.
I am incredibally thankful that I have children and grandchildren to love and who love me unconditionally too! As I age I realize that if I were to die tomorrow – it is my family that I would want sitting by my side to tell me that they will always love and remember me. No amount of $ can ever replace the love we give or get in this lifetime.
I am thankful for my loving husband, who supports my craziness. We are a good team.
I am thankful for my older sister! I can always talk to her about anything and she gives amazing advice.
I am thankful for my husband. He is my rock and helps me more and more every day, especially since I have become disabled.
My boyfriend. I’ve been having some medical issues the past couple of years and he has been very supportive and understanding. The medical issue is a chronic one and prior to my boyfriend, others, including family members, would say I’m just making excuses and that nothing is really wrong with me, etc. he has never once said anything remotely close to that and actually encourages me to rest and not push myself. He’s an amazing man!!!
I am thankful for my husband. He’s always there for me, and even supports my yarn addition!
I am most thankful for my father, who will be 95 on Feb. 17th!! I am grateful that he is still with me and keeps me smiling!
I am thankful for my friends at Manna Home. They have helped save my life and encouraged me to find my creative side again. Thank you and God bless,
Anjuli
My Husband….He was quite a bit older then me…I’m a widow now, but I would not
change a day, hour or minute of my life with him….even now I still feel his love for me..

My little Service Dog and best bud, Scrappy Doo! He loves me unconditionally and I try to love him the same way!! And he does like the sweaters I knit and crochet for him.
I am thankful for the continuing love and support of my two daughters. They are 35 and 33. When their father died two years ago I would not have been able to get through that time without them. They are my rocks and I love them more than ever.
I am thankful for my Christian friend, Lt.Col. Myrl Allinder, who’s in his later years. As a personal friend of my parents, he prayed fervently for my life following a severe-head injury accident in the 1970’s. I was healed by the Lord through Myrl’s prayers in my behalf which allowed my coma-condition to disappear. I was then able to continue my education and life, raising raise 2 children.
There are several people that I am most grateful for. First I am grateful to God for all the blessings and strength He gives me each day and for His wonderful love. I am grateful to my boyfriend and my children for being there to support me in all I do. I am disabled and going through so much and they are always there to help me when I need it. I do crafting to help relax and they are so encouraging. They encourage me to go to local craft shows and sell my stuff. They are always uplifting me. I don’t know what I would do without God and my family and my fiancee’. I love them all.
I am always thankful for my family and friends, but this year my Valentine’s Day is for my mom! She is always supportive and understanding! Mom is always there! Happy Valentines Day!!!
I am so thankful for my Mom. She has been there for me during some of the worst time in both of our lives and she never gives up. I don’t know where I would be without her. She is the one who taught me to craft and it is something that we both enjoy and can share.
My family, but especially my two daughters – they give me reason to live and reason to knit!
i am thankful for my loving partner who continues to drive as a long haul trucker through her battle with MS with me at her side. We get to see the nation together every day.
My husband and best friend, we will be celebrating 20 years together this year. He is always there for and supports me through everything, no matter how ridiculous or small, sane or huge. esseboo@yahoo.com
All the kids in my life from my own kids, to my nephew I took in, to a very sweet young lady I took in, to all my boy scout sons and friends. They all mske me complete.
I am thankful for my husband, 4 children, and my relationship with Jesus. His love for me fuels my love for them and others.
Jesus who gave His life that others might live.
I am so very thankful for my husband. He is the best man in the world, loving me and our 3 gorgeous kids.
First and foremost this Valentine’s Day I am thankful to my God for the amazing life He has given me. Next is my awesome husband who does so many house husband chores due to my disability. Then comes superb family and friends.
I’m thankful for my dad. I’m young and disabled, but he’s always there, pushing me to overcome. In October we made dinner plans for his birthday, but he fell sick with a brain bleed. The doctors called in family to say goodbye before the last day of that month. Now, a few days ago this February, my dad spoke for the first time since he fell ill. He’s fighting, still showing me how to and I am so thankful for him and that God let him stay.
My four granddaughters Lexi, Christina, Casey and Bailey are my Valentines. They are my heart, my sunshine, my pride and joy.
I’m most thankful for my two favorite men in my life:
My Service Dog, Mack, who has greatly improved my quality of life since his arrival on 12/08/15.
And my oldest brother Stephen for doing any and everything he can to help me along with every little thing that needs doing.
I wouldn’t be able to survive my day to day without my boys!!
I am truly greatful for my granddaughters! Their births reminded me that I have a purpose on this earth…a reason to live.
Trying to maintain an “attitude of gratitude”; thankful to God! Glad for all my female crafter ancestors – still using their needles, hooks, patterns and yarn stashes. Grateful for my family and friends, for accepting and using my finished work…
I’m thankful for my wonderful husband soon to be 56 years. We have been through a lot over the years with health problems, lay-offs, job changes and several moves. Thank God that we were there for each other.
I’m thankful for my best friend Debbie. She has been there for me since my son died three years ago. She calls, she stops by, she emails me all to let me know that someone still cares. I don’t know what I would do without her.
First, I am grateful for Jesus!! And I am thankful for my husband of 46+ years … and for the fact our marriage relationship keeps getting better!!
I am thankfull of life. It was not very aisy some days but I have so much chance to have on my way persons who are there just on time to help me. And also my two daughters and my four grandchild and a half to be in my life to know what is true LOVE.
My husband for his love. 15 years ago we were told his heart only had 40 percent function and surgery was not an option. The Doctor did not think he would make it a year but here we are still going strong. Married for 46 years!!!!
I’m thankful for my friends and family and especially for my brother who generously and kindly took care of me after my recent surgery. His kindness and caring are exceptional. I couldn’t have survived the experience without him.
I am very thankful for a number of people this Valentine’s Day. Three girlfriends, Cindi, Paula and Sandy, who encouraged me to seek help for clinical depression and the therapist, El, who was the real start of my recovery after discharge from the hospital. They all gave me the strength to reach recovery status. After I lost my job as a nurse in Critical Care, I was in terrible financial, distress and another friend, Noreen kept my head above water, I did not loose my house. After volunteering at a drop in-center for persons with mental illnesses a while, the directer decided I would make a great employee and I was hired. I assist my boss, Carol, in as many ways as possible. i am also the chief cook , serving breakfast and lunch almost daily. She saw my potential and encouraged me to take a few classes. I have become a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist and a trainer of the class needed for certification. I do not know where i would be without the love and support or these wonderful, loving, supportive people. i owe my current, successful second career and happiness to their strong faith in me.
I am thankful for my family and friends. Without these people in my life I really don’t know what I would do.
I am thankful for my parents. I couldn’t ask for more supportive, loving, generous, kind-hearted people in my life. I am so glad they have kept their health and are enjoying their retirement and their grandchildren. Thank you for the great giveaway.
I’m thankful for my mother, sister, and father. They keep me grounded and love when I’m not very lovable.
I am thankful for my Husband who brought me closer to GOD
I am most thankful for my husband. He has been my rock for more than 34 years of marriage. He has lived up to our marriage vows in all aspects and more.
My mom, she taught me to knit, cook and take care of the house and family. I miss her so much, but I remember what she taught me and I am grateful.
I am thankful for my whole family!! And that is a lot of people, but each one has enriched my life in their own special way! I am very blessed.
my little grandson
I am thankful for my boyfriend, who I almost lost to heart trouble. We have been friends for five years and we decided to take it to the next level. About six months into dating he became ill from heart trouble. He just had heart surgery and we are taking it one day at a time. It has been a trying time and knitting has helped me through it all. I used to knit years ago but health problems stopped that. I remembered knitting getting me through another trying time in my life so I decided to give it another shot. It has really helped with nervous energy and was a Godsend getting me through the hours at the hospital by giving me something else to focus on. What I love most about knitting for me, it takes all my nervous energy that’s bad and turns it into something good and beautiful when it’s over. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone and hug those you love tight!
I am most thankful for my family. My husband and my children! It has been a very rough couple of years for me, I have had a lot of physical challenges, health wise ! I can’t say there’s a better ” support-group” around! They’ve been there for me through it all! Wouldn’t trade them for anything!
I’m thankful for my sweet handsome man!
I’m thankful for my husband who has been my rock for 35 years. Now afflicted with Parkinson’s and the aftermath of two strokes, I hope I am his rock. I thank God daily for allowing him to live and as he is my life.
I am thankful for my hubby he is my Valentine every day of the year . I am also thankful for my 3 little ones . They are amazing and make me happy to be a mom

I am thankful for the two refuge cats that are begging for their supper, right now. I am thankful for having memories of my family, and dear friend in England, who just passed.
I am thankful for the lovely patterns I receive everyday, that encourages me to continue for another few hours and keep going. I am thankful that I know once, in my life, I was loved.
I am so very thankful for my wonderful husband. He is the love of my life!
God has blessed us with nine (9) beautiful grandchildren (now ages are 4 to 21), who LOVE whatever I make for them. And believe me, they have gotten some ‘fixed up’ crafts made by Grams, who cannot read a pattern and stick to it, no matter what. I still get the kisses, the “I LOVE IT” remarks and the tons of love they give me so freely. (I get ‘lost’ in pattern reading) So yep, I’ve been crocheting hats this winter – NONE of them are exactly like the pattern details, but they look okay. Yes, the younger girls are getting shawls! The older girls will get them later (it will be the second set for them). The boys don’t like shawls! Of course, once I start the project, I cannot put it down until…… so the hubby cooks dinner and overlooks the yarn balls lying around….
While I am thankful every day is because of my friends and family, but Valentine’s day is special because of my Step dad. Every year, no matter where we are or what the weather has in store, or even family financial trouble, he finds a way to get my mom, daughter, and I beautiful cards and big heart shaped fancy boxes of chocolate. He has done this for the past 30 years! He will be 94 next month, can’t drive, and hardly walk, but he always finds a way to do his shopping. I never really cared about Valentine’s day before , I always thought of it as a children’s holiday, then my mom met George. He is the person who makes it special for me, and I love him for it.
I am thankful for my husband this Valentine’s Day and everyday of the year.
I am thankful for my family because they are a true family. My first husband, who accepted two of my children as his own, taught our children the value of family. After a long battle with cancer be left us to carry on and invite anyone who has a need for family to join us. Now, over 13 years later not only have my children, including my stepson, continue to include others in our family gathering my new husband has also opened up our home and his heart to accept others. We share our holidays with one sons girlfriends mother, who is a widow, and my stepfathers girlfriend daughter, who had also lost her father.
When I look around our full table I see the smiles and love as everyone is joined in conversations while the food grows cold because no one wants to miss minute together!
I’m also thankful that tube next generation of this loving family will have a new addition, my first grandchild, who was born on the 7th!
I am truly thankful for my two yougest boys, who I had later in life. They both help take care of their poor “old” Mama, who never complain, and who are always courteous and considerate of their elders, with “yes m’am” , “yes sir” and “no m’am”, “no sir”. I love them both so much and my heart is happier for it – proud Mama!
I am thankful for my husband! He is truly my hero!
Thank you!
My wonderful husband. My mother is in end-stage cancer and he doesn’t begrudge me any time with her. My ex-husband would have been jealous of any time spent with anyone else. This is refreshing and just what I need.
After losing my FIL this Fall, I’m thankful for my Parents and Inlaws and all they do for us.
Thanks for giving.

I am very thankful for my parents and my significant other as we have been together for 11years. I do not know what I am going to do when this lung cancer takes him completely but until then I will take care of him the best I can. He does not get upset with anything I do or buy. He just gives me his card and says buy what you need. I am so thankful to have the time I’ve got with him. He is my Valentine.
My friend’s 3 children. They call me Auntie + bring so much joy to my life!
I am thankful for my husband. This time last year, we hadn’t even met. Now we’ve been married for nearly six months. He supports me and is so loving despite having to care for me. I have chronic pain disorders, and on top of that, I have been sick for the last whole month with a kidney infection followed by bronchitis, and he has been doing everything to care for both me and the dogs. He is the best. I love him so much!
I am thankful for my wonderful husband and my little love, our son 🙂

I am thankful for my mom
I am thankful for my roommate (who is male) who pretty much has allowed me to turn the whole living room into my yarn storage. When he asked me WHY I have so much yarn, I explained it to him this way…”Imagine if I was a painter, each skein of yarn represents a different color of paint, which is WHY I need so many balls of yarn.” Then he understood. He also gets to have the whole garage to himself, so he is happy, and a very good friend 🙂
I’m truly thankful for my parents, especially as they’re getting older. We lost my father-in-law around Christmas and seeing his relationship with my husband makes me even more grateful for the closeness I have with my parents.
My late mom who taught me to kuit and my friend David who brings laughter and hugs into my life along with the understanding that knitting is important to me.

They haven’t had an easy life, but still turned out to be the most loving & caring people I know (and it’s not just because I’m Mom, LOL) I have been disabled for most of their lives & they learned at a very young age, how important it is to help people in need.

I am thankful for my entire family from my husband, kids, dog, parents, siblings, and friends that are as close as family.
I am thankful for my health. Not long ago I got a cancer diagnosis of stage 3 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I crochet during chemo. Chemo takes about 6 hours and my crochet has gotten better because of it. I am still stage 3 but I am thankful to be here on this day. I am also thankful for my family who has supported me with no limitations. I don’t have a big stash of yarn because I have medical bills (that limits my yarn buying A LOT) so I would love to win this giveaway. Winning would make my day and my chemo not so taxing. Thank you for sharing it with us. Fingers crossed! Have a great day, everyday I wake up and see my loving family is a great day! <3

A Day In My Life, Crochet
I’m thankful for my husband who brings romance to my life every day
My Freddy, not a person, but a rescue dog who came to me at the perfect time!
Not very romantic I know, but I am most grateful to those wonderful creative people who design amazing and beautiful patterns (crochet & knitting) for the rest of us to create. AND post their designs for FREE – such generous and sharing people and much appreciated (even if I don’t always type-in to say so).
Therefore, for the joy of yarn-y creating – thank you.
