This is really about the quickest crochet project I’ve ever seen. Emi Harrington will show you in this video how to crochet with beads. If you’re scrambling for last minute Christmas gifts, just watch this video!

All you need is a bit of yarn, a yarn needle, any size crochet hook and beads of your choice. I suggest plastic beads if this is a gift for a child but you could use nice glass beads if the bracelet is for an adult. This is a good project for scrap yarn especially after you’ve finished all of your larger projects for Christmas and have little balls of yarn lying around.

It’s really just chain stitch while putting some beads in between. She chains three in-between each bead, but I’m sure you can space them out however you want by adding more chains between the beads. This is a fast and easy project that’s especially good for beginners. I think I’m going to go home and try to make some of these myself – I have a few last minute Christmas gifts to do for sure!

i used to crochet beaded christmas ornaments, first stringing the number of beads i was going to use [plus another goodly number just in case] then crocheting my piece until i needed them just as shown here. i have also added beads, picking up a bead with a 14 steel hook, then pulling the tread through the bead and stitch. cumbersome that way. i do that when adding beads to knitting pieces.
