Happy New Year Crocheters! Thanks for coming back in 2013. We hope you had a fabulous 2012 and we only wish to bring your more fantastic things!
I know I’ve mentioned this plenty of times in the past, but I am obsessed with cowls, especially during the winter. I’ve made many convertible cowls for myself and made a handful for my family as gifts. It works up quickly and it’s so easy to crochet. Only three crochet stitches are used throughout the pattern which makes it a great pattern for beginners. Practice makes perfect!
Because I’ve had my nose stuck in winter crochet patterns I didn’t realize crocheted cowls can be worn during the summer, too. It’s almost safe to say that any pattern out there can be used for any season, it just depends on what type of yarn you use. This All Weather Cowl is great for all seasons and weather types. Using a lightweight or lacy yarn you can wear this during the heat of the summer. A bulky, chunky yarn can allow you to bundle up during the dead of winter.
This cowl is great because you can wear it a few different ways – keep the length nice and long or wrap it around you a few times to give it that layered look. Whichever look you’re going for, you can easily accomplish it with this cowl. Crochet designs like cowls are a great alternative to jewelry and accessories. It’s the new fashion statement!
Which way would you wear this cowl?
