Yes I have used a crochet pattern from your site. My daughter was the one who signed me up with your site. The pattern she brought home was for the minion hats. My daughter is a teacher assistant with special needs class at Westmore High School, they needed costumes for the kids for trick or treat contest at school. I made a hat for each one of the kids and the teachers. They wore the hats and yellow t-shirts for there entry. thank you for your site and patterns.

I have crocheted slippers, hats, socks and Afghan’s using patterns from your website. I am currently working on an afghan for my daughter. I don’t think their is anything cozier than curling up in an afghan when you’re tired of sick. Nothing like curling up with a good book and an afghan.

I don’t remember the first pattern I used from this site, but on a recent trip to Prague to visit my son, daughter-in-law and new grandson, I took 6 skeins of Hometown yarn and completed 2 scarves while there….Neither scarf came home with me, my son has the grey and green one and his wife has the red one. They worked up fast and are warm as toast.

I made some fingerless gloves inspired by your pattern. They wre made with Red Heart yarn in red. I added to the pattern by embroidering flowers and vines on the gloves. I had made a hat in the same yarn also with flowers and embroidered vines. It makes a nice set

One of the best things about your site, is that I use it to learn new techniques and motifs, even when I don’t actually want to make a particular pattern.
It gives me “ammo” for free-form crochet, stuff to try in knitting, and more confidence to try harder patterns when one I like comes along.

I have made many afghans as wedding gifts from your patterns and recently made baby hats. I am back looking for patterns for the head wraps my daughters want for Christmas! I remember when you had to pay for every pattern you got. This site is so wonderful and spreads the joy of yarn work to so many. I feared knitting/crocheting would become an old lady art. Thanks so much to you and the web for reintroducing it to the younger generation!

I love some of the patterns, but I don’t know how to read them, I just started knitting not long ago and have yet to learn how to read a pattern. They have a knitting class at the library,I have been going, I love it. Next week I will be starting on pattern reading. I still only knit and purl, no fancy stuff yet, cables or even slip stitches or increases and decreases. Thank you for your beautiful site with all the gorgeous patterns. Happy birthday!

I want to make some baby things…but there are no babies around….so I decided to make a new tradition, which will be to make all of the things that were made in the old days, and put them in a hope-chest. These things can also be used as gifts, or saved for my future grandchildren/ great-grandchildren. So I figure why wait until 2014 to start….

The Baby Lamb: The first day I lucked onto your site I was looking for a crochet pattern for a stuffed lamb. I found just what I was looking for in a pattern for a mobile consisting of three baby lambs. My 30 year old soon had just lost his job and was trying to find a new one. He’s been feeling really low. When he was 4 I crocheted him a baby lamb for his first day of nursery school. He still has it. I hadn’t crocheted since then! But with all of your tutorials I taught myself all over again just to make him a new lamb.
I just finished it and I gave it to him with a note that read, “I believed in you then and I believe in you now.” Now I need to persuade this 6’3″ man to let me snap a photo of him and his new baby lamb!

How about adding some more advanced, difficult projects? I love a quick and easy piece to work on, but I also enjoy the challenge of something I really have to concentrate on.

Like most crocheters, also a yarn junkie=;O I have used your easy glove & mittens patterns. Easy to read patterns help me whip these item up in a couple of hours. Great cold day random gifts. I have also crocheted several beanies for cancer patients. I also enjoy making afghans for my adult children when they “graduate” from home. Children’s clothes, baby items, toys, scarves, doilies, hand warmers, baskets, flowers, jewelry, snowflakes, shawls, hats, tea light candle holders, centerpieces, and of course afghans. I teach crochet and have found many wonderful patterns to use with my students. We are finishing a stash buster granny afghan now. Then we’ll tackle a small rug.
