Since I am under the care of a Cardiologist, my Mom has had heart trouble for years, and her Mom died in her sleep, I am very active in the fight for Heart Health. I don’t have enough red in my closet! That’ll be changing!!
I love baked catfish with lots of lemon with baked sweet potato fries, yum
I love crocheting. It is a passion for me. I crochet while my husband did watch football, however, I will now crochet when he watches something else. My favorite colors to crochet with are all colors. Each color has it’s on unique rendition of what ever you need it to be. Have a Bless Day.
Hi! I’m an inpatient oncology nurse and on my days off I love to crochet. It’s a real stress reducer! I crochet hats, shawls, lap afghans, and scarves to give to the chemo patients on my unit. Cancer patients fight so hard and go through so much to fight their cancer. They are often in the hospital for weeks while their bodies react to the chemo. They love receiving these crocheted items. It brightens their day and gives them a little bit of comfort. They often will bring them back with them when they come back for repeated rounds of chemo. It touches my heart to see their faces light up.
I crochet (and knit) and love pastels but also shades of gray. Thanks for the giveaway!
I’m working on a crocheted “hexipuff” afghan. So far I’ve reached my goal and have been able to crochet a puff every day this year. The fun part will be assembling it at the end!! Thanks for an exciting giveaway!
I really enjoy the tweeds because of all the specks of color.
I always honor my mom, who I lost to heart disease 30 years ago…she was only 50 years old! I base my life on the principles she taught me and hope to share her memory with my first grandchild who is due in May! And it’s a GIRL so I will be crocheting endlessly for her…
I crochet and knit – mostly hats, scarfs and minens for the less fortunate! Thanks for wonderful opportunity!
My daughter is expecting her second baby, I’ll be attending the ultrasound to hear the new baby’s heartbeat!
As a 3rd generation heart disease family member I can relate. My grandfather was disabled in his early 30’s with it my mom died of it several years ago. I was diagnosed at age 24 with it I am a big supporter of heart health. My middle grandson at 14 was told he too joins our ranks. I am an avid knitter and crocheter so would love to win.
Heart disease runs in our family. This is something very near and dear to my heart! Thank you for your efforts to help raise awareness! I love to crochet and using yarns to make something for others is one of my favorite things. Thanks for the giveaway.
I love making new projects! I always spend a little bit of time each night crocheting to unwind and slow my mind by focusing on a project.
I have been crocheting and knitting for over 50 years and love being able to teach the craft to others. It is a soothing hobby that calms the stress of daily life and I figure it is one of the reasons I have stayed heart strong. Crocheting for me is my ‘heart medicine’.
What a great way to support those with heart issues. And knitting/crochet is one of the best ways to show that support.
Just getting back into crochet and would love to love on someone with this wonderful gift.
I’m drawn to autumn colors, browns, oranges, yellows and reds
I love to crochet all sorts of things. My father and my husband’s father both died of heart attacks. My younger brother was born with a defective heart valve, and in his early twenties, he had to have open heart surgery to replace it. He is now 66 and had to retire a few years ago because the artificial valve is only working at 50%. He still enjoys his grandchildren a lot, though. I think I will make a nice red neck-scarf to keep him warm, since he lives in New Hampshire. I love all bright colors, so working with red will make me happy!<3
I am just learning to crochet so I love all the colors. I also love learning new patterns.
I crochet because it reminds of the quiet times I spent with my mother. We both created baskets as favors for my daughter’s wedding among other things. Mom could not follow patterns from directions but could look at a picture and be able to replicate the pattern. We used to sit together and just enjoy each other’s company. I continue crocheting mostly to remember but, as a result, am able to give special homemade gifts to friends and afghans, scarves and shawls for some of the fundraisers that our church has. I really enjoy the basketweave stich and have completed some afghans in that stitch with a cross-stitch pattern within the afghan. Reds, greens, browns, reds and ivories are my favorite combinations.
I need red! This winter has been so dark n gloomy! Red is such a happy color! What a great color to remind everyone to be heart healthy!
I learned to crochet by watching you tube videos.. I am left handed and everyone I know who crochets is right handed. Videos helped me because I couldn’t follow my right handed mother in law or daughter!
Crocheting dishclothes, towel toppers and hot plate holders. When I was doing agency work and traveling to work in Hawaii (among others) I would always crochet kitchen sets for my co workers to remember me. It is always fun to make things to give away. I always treasure some of the pieces my patient’s have made for me over the years!
I have NO red thread so I could use this.
I love crocheting and all crafts. Right now I am making hats for gifts. I am having so much fun. Thanks for doing a giveaway.
Recently I learned of a need for preemie baby hats. The original request my daughter made was for two, one for each of her friends that have preemie boys. After trying out 3 or 4 different patters I found online I got so carried away with the project that I made 15 before meeting one of the mothers for a size test and gifting her with 2 for her baby and 4 for little girl preemies in the same Preemie ICU. Though I never met those 4 mothers it is heartwarming to know that my crochet gift might have brought a smile to their worried face. This is something I want to continue doing for as long as I can afford the yarn.
I have a pace maker, it was a blessing to get it. I have two wonderful doctors who take care of me, my heart and surgeon doctors. I am very thankful for them. As for the color red yes I have several items in my closet that are red. I have a friend that needs a pace maker, but she is scared to have the procedure.
Most everyone in my family has heart disease. My mother, who is 80 years old, has recently been diagnosed with congestive heart failure, which is in addition to her mitral valve problem and pacemaker, as well as pulmonary hypertension. She has always been active, and now that she cannot do the things she used to do, she is very limited in those activities. But, she is still able to crochet and does it so well. She has always made beautiful things that are so very colorful. I know she would love to receive such a wonderful gift as this.
At this time I am crocheting hats and scarves for those who are in need and some homeless people as well. I would love some free yarn as I am on a limited income.
Thanks
I love Red!
would love to win, never have won on any of these sites giveaway
Need to add more red to my wardrobe. What a great way to get started.
