Your New Favorite Yarn: Bernat Satin

May 7, 2014 by AllFreeCrochet 343 Comments

Bernat-Collage-Final-blogWe recently were lucky enough to receive some Bernat Satin Yarn in the mail, and it’s officially one of our new favorite yarns! Bernat Satin is an easy-to-work-with luxury worsted weight yarn that is ideal for practically all knit and crochet projects. It’s available in a wide array of beautiful colors and is machine washable and dryable.

Our friend and crochet blogger Corina Gray of Stitch 11 was kind enough to review Bernat Satin yarn for us, as well as design an original pattern using a few skeins of this wonderful new yarn.

According to Corina, Bernat “has created the ideal yarn for making apparel, blankets, and curtains.” She says “the captivating fibers are a graceful way to allow your items to flow and drape naturally. The beauty in the fibers also makes it a magnificent yarn for embellishing crochet, knitted items, and sewing projects.” Find her Ruffle Crochet Skirt pattern here, and read her full review of Bernat Satin yarn.

Sara McFall of My Merry Messy Life also reviewed Bernat Satin yarn for us and had nothing but praise for this versatile yarn. In fact, she has used it for a number of different crochet projects and she has been happy with it each time. “I love how it just glides over my fingers as I work, making the project go faster. It’s a frustration-free yarn!” she says. Read Sara’s full review here, and don’t miss her adorable Lily Pad Baby Blanket crochet pattern.

Ruffle Crochet Skirt:

Make this sweet Ruffle Crochet Skirt for any little girl in your life. Add bows or ribbon for added accessory, or even crochet a matching hair piece. This crochet skirt is perfect for all seasons because of the layering, and it can be worn in the summer with bare legs or paired with leggings in the winter. Find the full pattern here for the Ruffle Crochet Skirt. It’s written from the bottom up and is quick and easy to work up. Use any color Bernat Satin yarn you want to complete this cute crochet skirt.

Lily Pad Baby Blanket:

This gender-neutral crochet baby blanket would make an excellent baby shower gift for any mom-to-be. The Lily Pad Baby Blanket is a treat to the touch – the circles literally pop off the surface of it, making it fun to feel and play with, especially for wee ones. The circles look just like lily pads floating on a lake. Get the full pattern instructions here for the Lily Pad Baby Blanket.

PLUS: Enter to win 10 skeins of Bernat Satin yarn! One lucky winner will receive a wonderful collection of Bernat Satin in a wide array of colors. The deadline to enter is May21st, 2014 at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Enter for your chance to win right now!
