Butterfly Crafts: 27 Butterflies to Knit & Crochet + MORE!

February 5, 2014 by AllFreeCrochet 7 Comments

Although the groundhog saw his shadow last Sunday, there’s no reason why we can’t start getting excited for warmer weather. I don’t know about you, but I am definitely ready to ditch my winter coat and boots and replace them with tank tops, shorts, and flip flops.

One of the most iconic symbols of summer is the butterfly. No matter your age, there’s something beautiful and graceful about watching a butterfly flutter around in the sun. So, despite Punxsutawney Phil’s dismal forecast of six more weeks of winter, we’ve gone ahead and rounded up some of the best crochet butterfly and knit patterns we could find. There’s no better way to get a head start on the season than by working up these pretty patterns!

The promise of new beginnings, of hope for a better tomorrow, and for leaving the cold, waiting ground of winter. I love the soft green colors and the cheerful young blossoms heralding the coming summer and fruit. It feels so good to be warm and in the light!
