This year I always think of the little kids in my family, but my real Valentine is my husband Charlie. In his recent retirement year, he makes fresh salads for us every day, so we can stick to our diet. In essence, he is helping me lose weight, 10 lbs so far! Tomorrow is is 67th birthday. I don’t have to ask him if he would be my Valentine, he already is!

My wonderful husband has been my valentine since the day we met. He told me that he prayed for me right down to my hair color and so knew I was the one as soon as he saw me. We were introduced on a Saturday, April 1st, and engaged exactly one week later and married 2 months after that. He quoted Song of Solomon on our wedding day and all my friends just cried! That was almost 20 years ago!! He taught me of the love and forgiveness of Christ. He is big and strong and even “gruff” though our little grandboys have him wrapped around their fingers and he takes care of his family physically and spiritually including our extended church family. God could not have given me a truer, stronger, honest, loving, God-fearing Valentine than my husband.

You never think that you could love anything more then your children & husband but I am so filled with joy, wonder, love, excitement. We have lived through intense sorrow to incredible joys with everything in between and I wouldn’t change a day. God has been so good to me by allowing me to meet and marry such a wonderful man!

my husband is the most unbelievable valentine ever. After 32 years apart, separated by parents who thought we were too young, we found each other again by accident/fate and have now been married for 12 beautiful years each day a new day of togetherness where first thing he brings me coffee and the newspaper every day in bed where he keeps me company. He put me back on the pedastal he had me on when we were high school sweethearts. These new years of togetherness finds us NEVER apart! My heart is so full of love!

He certainly has proven that he meant what he said when he said our wedding vows to me, as I meant it to him. A lasting love is truely a treasure from God.

I have to smile when I think that this time last year I hadn’t yet met the man who is now my husband to be! Our first date was in a coffee shop on 7th March last year. We had met through a online Christian dating site and my first thoughts on him were that he would make a good friend if nothing else came of it. Several dates later he took my hand while we were watching a movie at the cinema and the sparks flew and the rest is history. We have been through an awful lot in our months together with me breaking my leg very badly and needing to have it pinned and plated and weeks later his dad passed away quite suddenly but we have been there for each other and that makes the bad times easier. On Friday I am going with my mum and bridesmaid to pick out fabric for my wedding dress and I’m so excited about that! My fiancé is my valentine this year and God willing for many years to come.

My valentine is the love of my life, and my best friend, Kevin. He always helps me with my crochet projects; tells me if my color combinations look good and always tells me what a beautiful creation I’m making while I’m crocheting. He believes that crocheting is an art. If I run out of yarn, he’ll run to the store to get me more. When I have to pull out a row…or 6, he pulls and I wind. When I finish a project and want to send it to someone, he pays for the shipping, saying that I got the yarn and invested the time to make whatever it is that I want to ship. He’s a great member of my crocheting team. I love him with all my heart, and will until the day I die!!

To this very day he is the one that I still spend my valentines day with. Even after all these years he still burns a part of my heart fires that will never flame out. His favorite flower was the rose… hummm my middle name is rose. Coincidence? I would like to think so…….. this year I crocheted a dozen red roses to leave with him. Until I take my last breath a n d am finally reunited with him in heaven he will be my firever Valentine’s day date.,

Priddy’s mother whom is a quadrupled amputee. And myself I have several medical problems myself. The latest being surgery to remove part of my breast. Without these three I don’t know how we would we would get to doctor appointments, grocery stores. They make sure we have are medicine and with M. Priddy’s mother everything from giving her medicine and helping her with every day living.
