Since I’m trying to lose weight & flowers die so quickly, it would have to be yarn. What a great idea!
At this time in my life, it would be yarn, in my 20s – flowers, in my 30s & 40s – candy.
Knowing my husband doesn’t give flowers or candy, it’s usually dinner out, I think he would actually like the idea of giving me yarn! He knows that’s what I loved more!
Edith Marks
well since I had a blood clot in my leg and have to have it raised, I chrochet a lot and give it away to kids or shelters so I would have to say yarn. I could make cute things with the red or any color I could win
I love flowers but they are temporary, candy affects my diabeties and is not healthy for me, hence YARN is colorful, creative, and last a life time! So yarn is my best friend!!
Love the cowl sweater and the red color of the yarn is very rich. A perfect match up.
I would love yarn, but my husband and sons wouldn’t know anything about what to look for, but if I were to win some that would be great. I usually get flowers. In February it’s nice to have them around to bring some spring and summer into the house.
Yarn, of course! Thanx for the chance!! 🙂
Yarn!!! 🙂 All colors!!!
My favorite Valentine’ day gift is Yarn in any shade of red. That would be great to start up some beautiful project!
Of course my favorite gift would be yarn!
Yarn would be a great low fat alternate to the chocolate, which I also love!
yarn–so many things that can be created from it.
Why cant i have all three 🙂 Flowers would be my favorite, but i could make flowers that last forever with yarn!
Now that I am a rabid crocheter, YARN (and a kiss) will do!!
Favorite Valentine’s gift? Hmmmm…. Yes, YARN! I love to touch it, feel it, smell it and dream about what beautiful creation to change it into! YARN! YARN! YARN! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Why yarn of course! And it must be red!
I’d prefer yarn because it makes me smile and then I could turn it into something that I could give someone else to carry on the love and good will.
I usually get flowers. I don’t want candy. Yarn sounds like a good new tradition!
One year must husband bought all the girls in the family special truffles. Definitely the best Valentine’s present.
I love any present I get, but it would be wonderful to win this yarn.
Such a better Valentine’s Day gift than chocolate or flowers!
Candy! Especially dark chocolate. But the best part is snuggling with somebody special.
We don’t really do gifts. We make the day more about us and make it special with a homemade romantic dinner and a movie
Yarn, if the buyer knows enough about it to get the good stuff. Otherwise candy, because almost everyone can pick a good candy.
I would rather receive yarn, but the hubby is a chocolate freak and always buys candy mainly because he knows he will get the majority of the candy! LOL!!
I usually get candy, which of course is great, but getting yarn to start a new project would be pretty amazing too!!
I love getting roses
My favorite is roses
Well obviously yarn. 🙂
Yarn. The answer is always yarn.
Years ago I would have said candy and chocolates… but now, I would love to get some yarn!
Now thats a hard one my two favorite things in life are yarn and chocolate. I love nothing better in life than to eat chocolate while crocheting. Now that’s a good day!
Every gift should be yarn. 🙂
I love getting flowers, but I’d rather have yarn! This year I got the WIP bag I’ve been drooling over. Even better!
just FOUND your site and love the yarns and patterns. I am not much for candy or flowers but I can also use yarn. I never have enough it seems. Unwhining at the end of the day by working with some yarn is heavenly to me.
Yes, yarn.
Yarn would be my favorite Valentine’s Day Gift. Allergic to chocolate and flowers die off too soon but what I make from yarn would last for years!
Yarn would be a great Valentine’s Day present.
I would love the yarn
I came down with a flu bug this year, so candy and fragrant flowers are out. Yarn would be the ideal gift this year 😉
Flowers are pretty, but yarn is awesome!
Yarn would be a fantastic gift!
Hmmm my favorite would be yarn I think, but that would never happen! Chocolate would be next! Then flowers! Although, just a card or remembering would be wonderful!
Can I choose all of the above!?!
I love valentines day and red is my favorite color. I wouldn’t mind all three! Flowers candy and yarn! Love yarn the best though!
yarn
flowers African violets as they never die I am up to 5 now so my husband knows when its gift time with flowers he knows what to buy
Yarn definitely wins, hands down!
Yarn, always yarn!
Absolutely would be yarn! Candy is momentary, flowers die, but yarn can make something lasting!
Give me yarn any day!!!
Give me more yarn and I will be happy and you know if mommy’s not happy no one gets an afghan 🙂
Yarn, always!! Though we usually don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Yarn of course!!!! I love this pattern!
Yarn, definitely not candy.
If I were buying my gift it would be yarn, but I love, and collect, unusual plants for my garden and would have to say that is probably my favorite gift.
DH knows not to send me flowers for Valentine’s Day! Yarn would make me happy, but I’d never say no to good chocolate!
Candy is fattening flowers do not last yet yarn creates lasting beauty I would love it
I love me some chocolate, but I would forgo a lot of it in exchange for some Bijou Basin yarn!
The love of my life, my lifeline through it all. My dearest husband
Yarn, without a doubt. When it’s gift-giving time, my husband and I take a trip to the yarn store so I can choose my own gifts. 🙂
I love chocolate which I don’t need, so I have to say definitely yarn!
I’d love to get yarn as a gift on every holiday!
Yarn of course, haha… hand dyed even better.
Would love yarn to make someone I love a little something!
I love to receive yarn as gift any time of the year. Love making things for others. 🙂
I’m happy with anything, but I would have to say yarn.
You’d love some yarn for Valentine’s Day!!!
yarn, cause I could make a scarf for my loved one and flowers for me that will last and bring the memories .
I love anything my Beloved chooses…sometimes he does jewelry, and sometimes we just go on a date to a fine dining experience. Yarn would be a great Valentine’s gift, but he would not think of it!!!
Yarn would be the best! That and Dove dark chocolate!
I love it when my hubby surprises me with daisies they are my fave and yarn too of course
Yarn for Valentine’s day and any other holiday or gift. My kids know that is what i would prefer. They also know that they are likely to get a gift back made with the yarn.
YARN…wrapped around I leetle beet of chocolate 😉
Forget the flowers and candy. Perfect gift would be a gift certificate to my local yarn store.
My favorite Valentine’s Day gift would have to be flowers because to me, it signifies love which is what Valentine’s day is all about!!!
Yarn would definitely be my favorite V-Day surprise.
definitely yarn!
Yarn works for me.
Yarn would be great!
I like all three.
Oh my goodness, my fave valentine is when someone does the cooking and chores and I get to crochet! 🙂 Yarn is my choice. Love the colors in this giveaway and the pattern is devine!
Flowers made out of yarn
All Shades of red yarn! All sorts of fiber content. Red is bright ! Red is alive ! Red is the color of courage, life giving blood and joy.
Yarn, duh! Besides, I’m allergic to flowers (especially roses) and I can’t eat candy. Yarn is the winner anyway you look at it.
love the sweater and color of the yarn…..
I love all the gifts my family gives me but if picking myself I would probably pick the yarn as I just love knitting and crochet
Yarn because it lasts and is so versatile.
I doubt I’ll get yarn – my husband thinks I already have too much. So I’ll have to be content with chocolate.
To quote the little girl on the Old El Paso commercials… Por que no los dos??
Since I’m such a yarnaholic shopper, hubby usually tries to indulge me with something I normally wouldn’t buy… so for me, it’s definitely the chocolates, and hand-picked flowers when he can find some! 🙂
Chocolate has always been favorite in the past, but I started crocheting this winter and am loving it! It’s a toss up between chocolate and yarn now… maybe I could just have both 🙂
Would love to get yarn!
Still flowers…..although the Jimmy Beans bouquets are cute. Midwinter flowers always make me think spring.
Oldie but a goodie, but candy. I like instant gratification. And no one buys me yarn.
Yarn, Chocolate goes to my hips and flowers I prefer on the plant.
YARN YARN YARN
I would love new patterns for crochet or a simple mens sock… yarn is always good but I never have the right one so am always getting more
Yarn!
I’d have to say chocolate. The person who should be buying my valentine has no clue about yarn. Except that I already have a lot!
We don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day as we make a point of showing each other love every day. At most he might give me my favorite candy bar. Although I’m thinking of asking for chocolate cupcakes this year. I’m craving them. I’ll get yarn in a month for my birthday and more when we get our tax refund.
Do I have to choose between chocolate and yarn? My husband is smart and gives me both! 🙂
Nothing says “I love you” better than yarn!
My favorite has always been flowers, especially African violets because they last for years rather than days.
I love getting flowers. They die quickly but they smell and look good. Roses are always the best kind of flower to get on valentines day since theyre a sign of love.
Wow, tough choice, but wouldn’t it be great to get all three! I usually receive chocolates and a card. I love chocolate!
I prefer to get plants that are alive like a mini rosebush or houseplant because though cut flowers are beautiful they die. Chocolate is good but again you eat it and it’s gone I guess what I am trying to say is that something like a plant is a gift that keeps on giving and everytime it flowers you are reminded of that special someone who gave it to you!
Is that a trick question? It is all of the above!
I’ve only ever gotten candy for Valentine’s day, so flowers or yarn would be a pleasant surprise. 🙂
Oh, lord – what a choice! How about chocolates presented on a bed of yarn? Assuming the chocolates aren’t melted…
Are you kidding? Candy and flowers and yarn, all of it!
Candy. As corny as this sounds I do have a good reason. I can share with Bear. And by share I mean “force” him to sing and dance for pieces. 😉
Candy is a close second to YARN!!!
I usually only get a card. So if I got yarn, I would surely dance!!
Yarn! 😉
I’ve already •hinted• that I’d like yarn for valentine’s day. However, we are in the Atlanta area & have ice, sleet & can’t get out for the next couple of days do I’m doubtful….also no FedEx or ups right now lol
Flowers made from …yarn!
My birthday is in Feb., I like to celebrate it along with Valentines Day and do a get away!
I love to share some wine and a whirlpool, then check out the town I visit. It’s fun, get’s you out of the mid winter blues! And of course red yarn!
I’ve never gotten yarn as a valentine’s day gift, but I’m dying to get a yarn bouquet! and maybe a little bit of chocolate…
Yarn in almost any color and very good chocolate.
YARN!! as if there was any contest!
Is there any holiday that’s not yarn-appropriate? I don’t expect any, as SO couldn’t tell the difference between acrylic and wool and cotton (or yak!) nor realize that there are different uses for the different fibers. Maybe it’s best if I stick to the yarn buying and let him buy me chocolates!
Well, I’m giving my husband candy (sugar free), I’m hoping for flowers, and it plan to spend the day fondling my lovely yarn, especially since hubby is fighting off a mancold. But a book, ooh, a book would set my heart racing!
I am a newbie to crocheting. I have completed two scarves, one for each of my children. I am currently working on a scarf for my husband. So I would love new yarn for Valentine’s day to continue to work on the new projects I am anxious to get started on 🙂 Thanks for the chance!
I havent gotten yarn before,But A yarn Bouquet! Would be Perfect gift for me!
YARN!!!!
Well, flowers are lovely, but they do not last… and candy, that gets eaten up and have nothing to show for it except added weight… But Yarn — Now that’s a horse of a different color… Yarn lasts almost forever…. I’d rather have yarn….
Surprise me! I like them all
Would be great to win..thanks for the chance
I dislike sweets so no candy for me. Flowers die so it’s a waste of money. Yarn is the best gift for me because I can knit with it and turn it into something beautiful. It doesn’t die so it will always be there until I need it. 🙂
Flowers die and I would rather plant them. I am a diabetic so candy is out. And yarn, yarn, yarn is my salvation to relieve all the stress in my life. And it will be my only Valentine gift. How nice would that be!
I love to knit and crochet. Ive been crocheting since I was in
9th grade. Knitting since 2001 when my mom taught me just before she died from a blood clot in her lung. Knitting and crochet helps me relax. I have heart problems and have to sit and rest often. I would love the opportunity to work with ur yarn.
Great pattern!!! would love to make this!
ooo…that is a hard question. Can I say all three??
Yarn would be my gift choice of those options, but I will settle for the lovely dinner my husband is planning on cooking for me 🙂
My favorite Valentine’s gift would have to be a beautiful bouquet of vibrant colored yarn:):).
LOVE this sweater! Would be a perfect step-up project, as all I have managed to complete so far has been scarves… 🙂
1. Yarn
2. Candy
3. Flowers
Yarn, chocolate and time to enjoy both.
Variegated yarn!
Yarn! I just started crocheting and I’m already an addict!
I would love a gift card for my favorite yarn store so I can get the yarn I want to make something special just for me since I usually only make stuff for others.
Yarn, of course!
At my house, nothing says lovin’ like yarn, lots of yarn, pretty yarn!
Yarn of course!!! Pinks, and Reds, and Purples!
Flowers made from yarn to give and wear
forget the flowers and candy, give me yarn all colors and lot’s of red.
I love to get one single rose from my wonderful husband of 48 years.
Flowers die… candy is oh so yummy! but nothing makes me happier then yarn and my man watching me crochet …. so yes yarn for sure!
My cat Andy, he’s my new love! Then, I’d LOVE to receive yarn as I am new to crocheting.
Yarn, second place is chocolate though. I am trying to eat clean. I love this pattern!
Flowers, because I so rarely get them!
Not only do I love yarn but I also love red!
Not only do I love yarn I also love red!
Yarn Yarn Yarn and more yarn
Yarn all the way! Or the money to buy yarn 😉
Yarn, I will still have it next week. The flowers or candy would be long gone!
Yarn for Valentine’s Day is a good new tradition. Flowers were fine when I was younger, no candy as I am diabetic, but the yarn becomes one with you.
Being that this is heart month, I would love to receive the yarn bouquet to do what makes my heart happy…crocheting!
Scrumptious and luxurious yarn.
WOW! I had boys and now have a beautiful daughter-in-law and granddaughter that I love crocheting for. This would be nice to make matching sweater cowls for them!
What’s your favorite Valentine’s Day gift: Flowers, Candy, or Yarn? It would be yarn I have never tried Bijou Spun yarns before are they soft? Crochet Red looks like an interesting book. Most of the time I don’t get any thing for Valentine’s Day unless I buy it myself. I can wait for spring for flowers and it is hard to buy myself candy. Yarn can last so much longer and make useful things.
I love it when hubby comes home with the flowers. He is already paying for the yarn I’ll buy anyway. 😉
My husband and I just got back from buying…wait for it..yep, YARN. I’m allergic to many things including jewelry, perfumes, flowers and metals (even my wedding rings). So far, I seem to do okay with all types of YARN.
I would love some pretty yarn but flowers would be nice too! My hubby never buys me flowers!
Thank you so much for sharing all your crochet projects. I have learned so much by visiting your website, I would love the oppertunity to try this pattern.
I love all three!! Can never have enough flowers, good dark chocolate, or beautiful yarn My husband probably thinks I have enough yarn – but the featured red yarn and pattern would be a lovely gift!
I never turn down yarn LOL My favourite valentines gift though is a resounding kiss/hug and the love my family gives me.
YARN! but my husband won’t because it is not “traditional” 🙂
not flowers, but maybe a plant that will live awhile…..yarn would be nice….so would chocolate…not too picky:)
Yarn, of course
I want to win the yarn,I really do; but not at the cost of my integrity.I love yarn, the feel, the look everything about it.But, for Valentines fresh cut flowers are my favorite.I can make many beautiful things with yarn but nothing I make can compare to one of God’s flowers.
Yarn!
YARN of course!!!!!
chocolate, only because my hubby lets me get all the yarn i want any time i want it. 🙂
Yarn of course
Why Yarn, of course!! I can make my own flowers with it!!
I would love to win this!!
I like patterns with different shapes. This one is unique. The reds are beautiful as well.
Yarn and chocolate.
My Favorite Valentine’s Day Gift is Flowers (because they come from my Husband) and yarn is a close second!
We’ll I got a link to this give away from allfreecrochet……this seems to be a YARN inspired site. So I’m gonna go with…..chocolates. Hahaha jk! Yarn of course anytime of the year!

I would love yarn so that maybe for once I will make something for myself
Yarn so I can crochet flowers and candy!
Anything chocolate–candy or yarn.
This year?
Yarn is the best gift for me!
flower
I want all three thank you.
I would be shocked, but oh so happy if my hubs gave me yarn!!!
My favorite gift on Valentine’s day is spending time with my Husband. I didn’t get to last year and so from now on, I’m going to spend EVERY single Valentine’s day with him. You don’t know what you have till it’s gone is such a true saying…also I wouldn’t turn down some yarn!!!
I want all three.
YARN!!! Always yarn, though I’d never turn down either of the others!
I had always liked getting chocolates, but for the last few years I love getting a coupon from yarn!!!
Thank you for having this giveaway!!!
Why not all three? LOL! Aim high! And if I don’t get yarn from my sweetie, I’ll just have to be my own Valentine and get some myself. Love those colors!
Yarn. I need to keep my weight and sugar levels down. Flowers die. Yarn and the joy that comes with what one makes out of it…priceless and lasts forever.
Yarn of course! Flowers die,,, I eat the candy… but yarn is forever!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE yarn for Valentine’s Day!
Always love chocolate and flowers make me smile, but yarn would be a lasting gift to remember a special Valentine’s Day.
Definitely yarn above all Valentine gifts!
Candy is always my favorite, especially Chocolate! And I LOVE to crochet! However, I am trying to eat healthy now so candy would not be a good option. Yarn would be perfect for me!
If someone was to ask me what is my favorite Valentine’s Day gift is; it would have to be YARN! But chocolate are also good. I would welcome any gift for Valentine’s Day! My husband usually hides those little valentines that kids exchange around the house for me. LOVE THAT!
Flowers
Yarn!!!
I used to like getting candy, but now I love getting yarn! Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s day, it doesn’t matter! Yarn is the best gift!!!
One can NEVER have enough yarn to satisfy the craft of making projects for others.
Yarn……..It’s my favorite addiction!!
Candy adds pounds and is gone quickly, never to return except on the hips, flowers fade and die, but YARN lives on! YARN it is!!
I usually get candy, but I would prefer flowers or yarn.
would love to win this!!!!
Yarn is my favorite. I’m not much of a candy eater and the pretty flowers only last a few days.
This yarn is beautiful and red is my favorite color. Would love to win this!
I would love yarn for Valentine’s – with that being said, chocolate AND yarn would be a bonus LOL
Yarn or red dye for my alpaca rovings to spin! Nothing more relaxing than a few hours of crocheting, knitting or spinning 😉
My favorite Valentine’s Day gift is time spent with my husband–and I’d love to have some new yarn. Thanks for the chance to win this giveaway. The yarn is beautiful.
Yarn for sure. Any color.
Fine chocolate.
I love chocolate & flowers, but since I started crocheting last year I have become totally addicted to yarn. Yarn is now my choice for the win!
My favorite would be yarn but my husband would not know where to start. My second favoriate is flowers, which he DOES know go to get. I cannot discount chocolates, though. Mmmm!
Yarn is always a good gift!

Yarn and those colors are beautiful.
Yarn would be nice…cant seem to get enough ot it. Candy and flowers are good but i would prefer the yarn!
Flowers die (or the cat eats them!), candy makes you fat, yarn is the best gift whatever the reason.
My favorite valentines gift would have to be yarn, you can not go wrong there.
Since i love roses, but they die to quickly and chocolate makes me gain weight, I prefer the yarn, so i can finally start a new hobby *crocheting* and who know’s, when i get the hang of it, make roses my self 🙂
My husband!!
I love it all, but yarn is at the top of the list. <3
I love chocolate covered strawberries, and yarn always good gifts.
I Woolie love to win this collection!!! What a wonderful collection….Ewe know I would truly jump for joy on this Valentines Day!! 😉
Yarn is the best gift of all. It doesn’t add to the waistline or hips and it lets me give a gift to someone else and see their face light up, which is really the best gift ever.
First is chocolate next would be this beautiful yarn.
Yarn would be a great gift.
Chocolate yarn. 🙂
Wow, I would so love to win this. I like the yarn and colors and would really enjoy making a sweater from it.
I would love some good candy, but yarn would be great!
I love roses! Best valentines day gift 🙂 (and a bunch of yarn to play with!!)
I think yarn would be the best gift of all, then you can turn it into exactly what you really want. And it keeps your fingers busy so someone else can eat the chocolate!! : )
I would say yarn, can’t go wrong there.
Best gift idea ever! Me please!
Yarn of course! Its the gift that keeps on giving!!!
what an awesome valentine gift to myself this would be
Yarn is my favorite gift for any holiday!!
that is a beautiful sweater and cowl. My husband always brings me roses, and a snickers candy bar. 34 years together!! Love that guy!!
Yarn is my favorite gift… for any occasion!
This is a beautiful book and project.
Yarn. Definitely yarn. It’s much more useful than flowers or candy, and lasts way longer in the form of a handmade item!
As much as I love yarn I love getting flowers from my husband even more. Its a rare occasion that he gives me flowers so they mean a lot to me.
Since I would be buying my own Valentine”s Day gift this year (by choice…lol) I would definitely buy myself some yarn! Way to keep busy after my back surgery on the 19th!
Yarn would be a great gift!
Dark chocolate or yarn. You can’t crochet with dark chocolate, but you can’t eat yarn, either!
That yarns looks so soft and pretty. The only flaw is that it isn’t in my hands.
Yarn, but a small box of See’s candy would be a nice extra along with it………
Yarn and chocolate
I’ll take yarn at any holiday!
Yarn last longer and looks better on my hips
I would love to get yarn but my next favorite is chocolate!
Absolutely yarn, it lasts longer, provides much more enjoyment and doesn’t make you gain weight. there are no regrets with a gift of yarn!
I choose yarn because it lasts longer. 😉
Yup, I’m voting yarn!
As much as I would love flowers and candy, yarn is forever ♥
I’d love to get nice flowers 🙂
would love yarn, always can use it. flowers and candy only last a little while, yarn can use any time, and can make things for others.
it used to be chocolate but my husband wants me to lose weight so I guess it will now be yarn! 🙂
I love receiving yarn for a gift! Though I usually end up making the gift giver something I’ve made from the yarn. Happy St Valentines Day all!!
I would love the yarn. Would last a lot longer than flowers or candy!
Beautiful soft yarn
I’ll take yarn anytime… it lasts longer.
I’d love to get yarn, but my Valentine would never think of that! He is very good at bringing me flowers, though. I’ll take those over candy. But my favorite is a gift certificate for a spa day!
Definitely yarn! Make a nice shrug with it and you will have warm hugs forever!
Absolutely yarn, it lasts longer , provides more enjoyment and doesn’t make you gain weight. There are no regrets with a gift of yarn.
Candy AND yarn would be perfect!
As I am a widow and am always looking for new things to crochet, I would love it if I got yarn for Valentines Day.
Something that had thought put into it, even if it’s something very little.
Favorite Valentine’s Day gift was/is flowers or roses to be exact and some chocolates 🙂
Yarn. As I work on my project I think about my love who gave it to me.
Red yarn of any shade is one of my favorites. I would look good teaching crochet wearing this sweater and cowl.
I prefer yarn to everything else! 🙂
What rich beautiful colours! I would have to share, something for my family and something for charity. Thanks for the chance to win.
Yarn, definitely yarn. Flowers wilt and candy just makes me fat . . . yarn, though . . . it always makes me feel good. =)
Flowers!! (I’m a florist though so I’m biased.)
I have to say honestly, flowers. I don’t get them very often.
chocolate , chocolate chocolate…what else is thee?
My favorite Valentines gift would have to be…. ta da.. all three :), Picking one, yarn would win hands down.
Chocolate to nibble on while I play with all my new yarn!
Flowers die so quickly, don’t need the candy, probably don’t “need” the yarn, but I would love it. 🙂
Since I am currently single, yarn would be the best gift ever.
I would say candy in a basket of yarn! 😉 I like flowers but they die which makes me sad, love candy but honestly if I had to pick just one I would say yarn.
Yarn of course after jewelry which is my top choice.
YARN
Yarn would be a great Valentine’s gift! Especially wool yarn, I have been making wool socks for my family for the past 3 months, and my 4 year old grandson has requested a pair of red socks to add to his collection <3
I would choose red crochetted roses in a vase – covers the valentines, the flowers and oh so sweet, especially when made by any of my kids!
It is a no brainer. My favorite gift is always yarn!
I’d rather have yarn,it lasts.I definitely do not need candy(weight LOSS is my goal here)flowers die-but yarn-ah yarn lasts until turn it into something else-Then I have something(even flowers if I so decide)that will also now last.
Yarn! Hands down. Flowers die. Candy is eaten. But with yarn I can create something that will last a lifetime.
Jimmy Beans Wood yarn in Red is what I would prefer! Happy Valentine’s Day!
I would love to get yarn for valentines day!
I would love to get a bunch of yarn for Valentine’s day. What a great idea!
My favorite gift USED to be candy…but I got into crocheting in November 2013; now all I want is yarn! The occasion doesn’t matter!
Yarn of course!
Well for Valentine’s day I would like some candy because I love chocolate, but if I had to choose between the two, I’ll take the new yarn. My passion is crocheting and creating some really neat things with yarn. I started crocheting 51 yrs ago and to see how far crocheting has come from way back when just amazes me. There are so many talented young and old crocheters (male and female) these days. I learn a new stitch almost weekly and I can’t wait to try new yarns and threads. I wish everyone could win this giveaway because we all deserve it, just for loving to crochet. Good luck everyone and Happy Valentines Day……Happy Hooking
I am addicted to Yarn! All the different textures and colors are fun to discover. I am teaching my grand-daughters to crochet and we would love to work with these colors! This would be the best Valentine treat!
Yarn the gift that keeps on giving…unless it is a Yarnshop gift certificate Yahoo!!!!
I’d love to get yarn as a Valentine’s gift <3
I love any gift of yarn, ever. I always feel a little guilty when I buy yarn for myself.
Even though I already have a giant hoard, I’d have to say yarn!
I would love yarn and needles as a Valentine’s gift.
It most certainly have to be yarn. That is the only thing I need for sure.
Hmmmmm. I think yarn. Flowers fade. Candy, um, well, you know about candy but yarn is awesome and can make wonderful gifty things.
Yarn is definitely my favorite Valentine’s gift. I think my husband has finally figured it out lol!
Yarn, yarn and more yarn. With yarn I could crochet candy and flowers then I’d have all three.
Yarn of course! It doesn’t cause weight gain an fit doesn’t die. It’s the best!
Yarn, yarn, and more yarn!! Yarn is the best gift for anything and everything!! I’d love the chance to win this gorgeous basket and try out that amazing yarn!! Thank you for the chance!! Love yarn 🙂
Most definitely yarn!
Yarn, I don’t like cut flowers, and I really enjoy making my own truffles, so I don’t believe in buying chocolate from someone else. Plus, Dude, it’s yarn!!!!!
I prefer dark chocolate candies for Valentine’s Day, but red yarn is a close second choice. 🙂
Yarn of course!!!!
Chocolate covered strawberries. Fruit with a bit of sweet, mmm good!!
None of the above. It’s always been an intimate dinner out for just the two of us!
I would say yarn but I don’t ever see my husband buying it for me. He says I have too much now. My reply “You can never have too much yarn!”
Yarn! Hands down. But I’ll take flowers.
Flowers lose their blooms, candy is enjoyed in the moment while yarn can be made into anything to make a friend smile! I choose yarn!
Yarn of course!! What would be even better is if the yarn smelled like chocolate!!!
I usually get candy, more along the lines of fine chocolate from my favorite local chocolatiere. But yarn might be better, lol!
Yarn, of course. Thanks!
yarn of course
Chocolate of course
Can we pick all three?
Yarn, indeed! And when I asked my 2years old daughter, she answered yarn too!
Yarn of course! So I can make gifts for family and friends to share my pleasure with the yarn!
Candy
Candy- especially chocolate. 🙂 I like chocolate Twizzlers too!
A box of chocolate covered raisins and a basket of any kind and color of yarn to keep me busy for these cold winter nights.
I really enjoy dinner out, no chocolate, that is a great Valentine’s Gift
Yarn, yarn, and more yarn!! And a Valentine’s card from hubby.
My favorite valentines gift would be yarn, reason being is that flowers only last a few days then they die away and candies don’t last at all then I’m complaining about weight gain so at least with yarn I’m able to make something out of it passing time away and I will have the finished product for a long time.
OOO… I love yarn so much & I hate getting flowers for Valentine’s because they are jacked up so much… and they die so quickly… plus we are getting “the storm of the year” tomorrow so winning yarn would make things soooo much better! 🙂
I usually don’t get anything for Valentine’s Day. Yarn would be the best gift every in my opinion.
I’ve never gotten yarn for Valentine’s Day, plants, more often than flowers. Would love either. Trying not to eat the chocolates. Love is in the air!
Ya know, I used to be a flowers and candy kind of girl. Then I discovered crocheting a few months ago. Now I’m addicted and look for yarn even though I have a basket full next to my chair!
I’m not going to say yarn so that it will help me to win. I can buy yarn anytime, but Valentine’s Day candy only comes once a year! 🙂
Yarn, yarn! Beautiful yarn!
If I have to pick one, I’d go with the yarn, because those colors are just breathtaking. But I think a lovely rose bush with a box of dark chocolate would be a great accompaniment the that beautiful bouquet of yarn.
I’ve never received yarn, but I like the sound of it! I’d have to pick candy, otherwise…it’s probably the candy I have the most self control with…I make it last a really, really long time.
I let my husband off the hook since our anniversary is two days before. 🙂 Tonight we are going to dinner. 😉
I would love it if I could get all three!! But I would choose yarn, you can make beautiful things and enjoy making them too!
Yarn
I love candy, flowers and yarn, but my favorite is yarn.
So what is wrong with Candy Flowers AND Yarn? I can eat the candy, enjoy looking at the flowers, as I Crochet a new afghan with the yarn. I need a new afghan coverlet for my bed.
Since I’m *very* particular about colors, if my Valentine was to be yarn I’d want it in the form of a gift card. Otherwise, flowers.
Since I’m a yarnaholic, I’ll take yarn any day!
Oh I would so love the Yarn! Candy is fine by the Yarn would be divine 🙂
From the three options, I would definitely say yarn although I’ve never gotten this as a Valentine’s gift before. I don’t like candy so flowers is a definite 2nd. Honestly, just a little romance is all I need. 🙂
I love flowers but I definitely love getting yarn! 🙂
Would say yarn would be the best.
Yarn!!!!!
Yarn, but perhaps in the form of a gift card! I’d be very scared to see yarn picked out by the Hubs!
Love chocolate, but I would love to get yarn. I don’t think my SO even knows that yarn would be a good vday gift!
I would like yarn for Valetine’s,
My favorite Valentine would have to be yarn!! Since I am not in a relationship and I have come to enjoy crocheting so much, yarn is the obvious answer!! I could make a bouquet of flowers that never die with this beautiful yarn!!!
Truffles may be nice for a few minutes, but yarn give you hours of enjoyment
Definitely yarn would be my favorite of the 3 choices. 🙂
Definitely YARN, YARN, YARN! Yarn makes me happy!!!
Dot would be yarn, candy and flowers don’t last!
My husband wrapped in yarn!!!!!!
My dear husband usually gets me flowers and a lovely dinner out, but he would also be happy for me if I won this beautiful yarn.
YARN !!! and then plants 🙂
Yarn is the best gift for any occasion, but I never turn down dark chocolate 🙂
A bouquet of yarn is the ideal gift for anyone who crochets. I can’t have chocolates, flowers are pretty but short lived, a bouquet of yarn can become a sweater, an afgan , mittens and so much more to last my lifetime and many more after that. So YARN is my choice of the best way to say “I love you”…….
Flowers die, candy causes weight gain, but yarn lets me share the love with handmade gifts for everyone!
Would have loved to get lovely yarn but no one ever has bought me any for a gift-Russell Stover chocolates are a close second
Well I’ve never thought of yarn, but now that you’ve put that Valentine’s gift in my head, that’s what I choose!
I think candy is nice but I don’t need it since I am trying to count calories. It is too cold for potted plants, which I love. I would have to say yarn is a perfect gift for any time of the year.
Candy is too generic and over rated. It would be nice to get some flowers since I never get them through the year. However, yarn would by far be the best gift. There are so many types and so many projects to be made.
My favorite Valentine’s gift is either a homemade meal or heartfelt letter.
I’d rather have yarn as candy is not good for a diabetic. I’d rather wait and buy flowers that I can plant outside and enjoy all summer long. Yarn would keep me busy during the cold, snowy days of winter.
I’d rather have yarn as candy is not good for a diabetic. I’d rather wait and buy flowers that I can plant outside and enjoy all summer long. Yarn would keep me busy during the cold, snowy days of winter.
My favorite valentines gift would have to be yarn, so that I can continue to make slippers, lap robes and afghans for patients at the VA hospitals This year, I would actually give that up for an answer to a prayer to help find a cure for pancreatic cancer for my brother in law.
Oooh tough question! Going to go with candy, since I always buy yarn but never sweets.
The cats knock over the flowers, and I would gobble up all the candy. Yarn is the gift that keeps on giving!
In several parts of the US it’s cold, nothing better then to have some great yarn and your favorite hook and cosy up on your best sofa and crochet till your heart’s content… I’ve entered a lot of drawings unfortunately never won nothing, I hope to win something some day…:-P
love the beautiful yarn
I love yarn any day of the year. I am currently teaching twenty some middle school students to crochet at lunch time twice a week. We are having a fun time.
Flowers are over priced. There is always yarn on sale somewhere.
I have never received yarn as a gift. I think I would love to receive yarn as a gift though. My usual favorite is flowers but I think you might be on to something here. 😉
Yarn is definitely my favorite.
Red yarn! It will be all mine! Chocolates are given and then eaten by my kids and husband. Flowers are pretty, but overpriced for one day.
I already received flowers and candy although I would love yarn!
I do so love spring flowers, summer flowers, autumn flowers in all colors, sizes and shapes. I do so love dark chocolate, any time, any where. So the ultimate gift would be a variety of yarn in all the colors of a flower garden with a little dark chocolate yarn thrown in to help those flowers grow. I vote for yarn!
The best gift for any occasion has to be yarn, but this year it’s definite. I need some new yarn to start a project while my husband has his thyroids and some additional glands removed due to cancer. Knitting will keep my mind busy while he’s in surgery, and give me something to work while he rests.
There is no gift better than yarn.
My gifts are usually candy or flowers , one year I got a Tn Walking Horse, but yarn would be a better gift and something I would use.
I love being subscribed toyour website here on facebook. I get alot of cool new ideas and patterns and I’ve meet some new fellow hookers as well. I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one who has ADCD. LOL.
yarn and the color red
My husband usually gives me candy or flowers , one year I did get a Tn Walking Horse, would rather have yarn which is something I would use.
I gave my mom Lion Brand Bon Bons yarn all wrapped up in a Valentine’s day chocolates box for a Valentine’s gift! Never mind chocolates or flowers, yarn crafters love getting yarn!!!
I’ve received plenty of chocolates and flowers over the past years. However, since I’m trying to get back into my crafts yarn would be the perfect gift on Valentine’s Day this year!
I’ve received plenty of chocolates and flowers over the past years. However, since I’m trying to get back into my crafts yarn would be the perfect gift on Valentine’s Day this year!
My favorite gift would be the yarn of course and Chocolate (candy) I would love to win this great prize,
yarn yarn and more yarn is all i need for a relaxing day of crocheting love love love it
I would love to spend time with my husband but since he is a long haul trucker,I would love yarn
I would love a gift of yarn!!
Flowers are ok but they die, candy is ok but I’m not really into candy. I’ve never received yarn for Valentine’s Day but it sounds wonderful so I pick yarn. Yarn would be my favorites Valentine’s Day present!
My family know for anything I want a gift card from a yarn store.
My ideal Valentines gift this year would be lots of yarn, so I could make scarfs and shawls for all this snow we’re getting on the east coast Happy Valentines Day
Definitely yarn, it lasts much longer 🙂
There’s really no other choice! YARN!
Although anything for Valentine’s day is great I would love Yarn!!! Thanks for the great giveaway!
Yarn for valentines day would be great!
Yarn is always the best gift… By the end of each day I feel completely unraveled, but then I crochet things back into place each evening. It’s perfect!!
Yarn and chocolate!
Mine would most definitely be the yarn. I have allergies to flower and had a gastric bypass so candy is out. so yea gotta go with the yarn
love making afghans and using left over yarn for plastic canvas patterns
I love receiving flowers for Valentine’s Day! I’m a hopeless romantic. 🙂
As a woman with heart disease, from a family with heart disease, I try to support the causes. If I were to win this, I would donate hand made items to a local charity that supports women’s heart health.
I have never won any yarn…..so yes, my answer is yarn……and my anniversary is FEB. 14..
this would be a great gift…..thank you…
Love chocolates and flowers are pretty for a little while. Never received yarn but that would be really nice.
Yarn would be awesome!!!!
Yarn for sure!
what a wonderful beautiful pattern, and the colours are just a perfect match for this time of the year. thank you so much for the amazing prize, good luck to everyone 🙂 thank you again <3
opps forgot the question. favourite valentines gift..is yarn if I had to pick, I don’t really have a sweet tooth to be honest. ( I prefer chips and popcorn ) however my most favourite gift is just spending time with my honey on any day. thank you for the prize opportunity, good luck to everyone again
Would rather have yarn than flowers or jewlry any day.
Since I’m newly retired, all I want to do is crochet – so YARN, please!
Yarn beats flowers or candy any day….hands down…no question about it!!!! This would be the best present ever!!
I’d love to win the yarn. But for Valentine’s day’ I’d prefer flowers and chocolates…neither of which I’ll get. 🙁
yarn is always a good gift for me, no matter what the holiday is, it’s a stress release for me to knit and crochet, and I have gifts for people.
Yarn! Of course! Lol!
The gift of yarn keeps on giving. 1st you have a chance to enjoy making someone for a love one, then the love one enjoys their gift.
Yarn but in the form of a gift card, so I could pick it out myself!
I love this yarn, these colors are so rich and vibrant. I would love to win this and started on a project.
I would love getting yarn! But I also love fresh flowers!
Yarn, hands down 🙂
Yarn would be what I want.
Yarn! Red sparkly.
YARN!! Flowers are nice for some color inspiration, and candy could provide sustenance during a long crochet session, but really, who needs anything but more yarn?
For me yarn because with forced retirement it is the only thing that I can choose what will happen to it. With flowers without the proper care they wither and die, and candy once you eat it it’s gone. Yarn will make something that will last and it will be beautiful.
Ideally, some of each!
All three would be wonderful, but if I had to choose, it is yarn of course!
Used to be candy, but since I started learning Crochet, yarn is a much preferred gift 🙂
Crocheting has become a huge part of my life now, and I have only been doing it a little over a month now. 😛
To be quite honest, I really would prefer the yarn. I can get flowers anytime I want, and candy is not my thing. I do not have a sweet tooth. Since I have been on disability, I have been crocheting and knitting constantly, so yarn is the only practical gift for me! Thank you!
Yarn, of course!
As much as I love yarn, I would have to say chocolate. Dark chocolate.
Yarn is the best as I could make my loved one something to remind him and me of our love…:))
I told my husband I didn’t want a card, candy or flowers for Valentine’s Day that I wanted yarn. He bought me 6 skeins of Red Hart Super Saver and one skein of with love last Saturday! 🙂
My husband just give me a children valentine card and write on the back a sweet saying. He takes me to What a burger, (a tradition) We also most got in trouble one time when I placed my feet on his lap (didn’t know a cop walked in when I did it). He came over an told us to behave. (it was our 5th valentine).. We still go there but, I look first before playing footie..
A basket of yarn would certainly make my day
Yarn, of course!!!
Yarn. I can create something nice and keep the giving going, making someone else smile too.
My favorite gift to give is candy. My favorite gift to receive is yarn.
Since my husband doesn’t know what to get for Valentines and has no color sense, a gift card would be nice. Then I could get any yarn I wanted. Forget the candy (need to lose weight0 and flowers are nice but are gone all too soon.Happy Valentines everyone.
I am dieting and crocheting keeps me from eating to much! Would love to win the yarn to work on some new projects!
This year, flowers. My husband would never pick the right yarn and I’m dieting, so I can’t eat the candy.
I usually receive candy in a little heart box, and in the past sometimes, cards made by my children when they were younger. Well, I’ll accept what I can, red heart and all!
I love to get & give flowers, but I also love to get & give things mAde with yarn.
I have to say I would like all three.
red wool yarn. less fattening than chocolates and it lasts longer than flowers.
Honestly I’d be happy with any one of the three but would really really love all of them together!
I just love the colors. Red is my favorite color!
All three! I get yarn all the time, so the flowers and candy would be something different and fun, but to know that my husband went yarn shopping … that would be great too.
At one time in my life I would have loved to receive flowers. Now that I am older, yarn is a must. One can never have to much yarn.
Yarn! My cats eat my flowers and chocolate doesn’t last but an Afghan lasts forever!
Since he lives far away right now… my fav gift would be a Skype call, while we each enjoy an adult beverage (a beer for him, some wine for me)…. and, of course, I’d be knitting him something lovely and warm. 🙂
Yarn for sure. Followed closely by acwhole steamed lobster and a rare ribeye.
Yarn. I’ll be buying it fir myself unless I win some.
Yarn would be the greatest present I could get but hubby likes the traditional with candy, Mothers day is more probable to be flowers that was the first time I got them from him when I was pregnant with my 15 year old. Valentinesa is the week after anniversary so get jewelry for it normally
Yarn. Unless I win it I’ll be buying it for myself.
Last year my hubby bought me a huge bear and a big box of chocolate 🙂
Would love chocolate but being diabetic eliminates that one and as much as I love yarn my husband of 39 years wouldn’t have a clue on where to get it or a gift card from so this lucky lady gets flowers and dinner out (yes more than one!)
I love dark chocolate then yarn.
Warm hugs are nice, and being that it is Valentine’s Day, who wouldn’t like a warm and fuzzy hug? I would, and when I finish making something warm and fuzzy, then I can pass it on and share the Love! Happy Valentine’s Day. Peace. 🙂 <3 (((Hugs)))
I would be crazy not to say yarn, but chocolate has second place in my heart, or flowers. Now I’m not sure. Love to eat chocolate, too fatting. Flowers only last a week, unless they are rooted, then they last for a long time. Well, YARN is #1.
Yarn all colors
Yarn 🙂 I love to crochet. I also make prayer shawls for my church along with several other women so this gift would be perfect!
Yarn!!! My husband usually comes up with a hobby lobby gift card so I can pick my own! Perfect!
Yarn, it’s not just for Valentine’s Day, it tops my list for Christmas, Easter, Birthdays, and 4th of July, and so on!!!!
That is a difficult decision. The candy would be eliminated first. I love flowers to plant and yarn. I use yarn to make things for others to give as gifts & just because. Yarn would be a good choice as I can crochet as I watch TV. Happy Valentines Day everyone.
I like flowers never recieved yarn before but it would be a nice and practical gift!
I love yarn but I have to go with candy
I would rather have YARN it won’t cause me to gain any weight.
Yarn would definitely be my favorite Valentine gift, I am actually crocheting more lately and could use this pretty colored yarn for my next project! I don’t need the chocolate because I don’t want to gain the weight and flowers are to expensive and die quickly. I could use the yarn 😀
Yarn would be a wonderful gift! SO, I gotta ask: Am I YOUR Valentine? Will YOU be sending me yarn? Hint Hint. And thanks for the giveaways.
I like candy and like flowers, but yarn gives me super powers. Corny, I know, but I prefer the yarn.
Just what I need to keep busy during this bad weather.
Flowers and chocolate are soon gone. There is more enjoyment in yarn. From the joy of making it and the finished project to giving as a gift or just a present to yourself. The gift of yarn lasts much longer.
I like candy and I like flowers, but yarn gives me super powers. Corny, I know, but I really love yarn!!
I love knitting or crocheting something for my valentine sweetie
Wow! that is a tough question. Can I have yarn now and candy later?
Candy, too fattening. Flowers, they die. Yarn, priceless. 🙂
Yarn is less fattening than candy.
Since retiring I seem to be working two or three projects at once. My yarn stash is becoming depleted and I need to replenish so yarn would be my first choice for Valentine’s day. Second choice would be means to organize and store my stash!
As long as my husband gave me something, I wouldn’t care what it was!
Yarn, yarn, yarn…I think a gift of yarn in sweetheart colors would be the best!
Happy LOVE day on FRIDAY. would love me some pretty yarn.
THANKS.
sUSAN
yarn!
I taught myself to crochet this winter and just finished
my first project. So proud of myself!
Yarn is the best gift.
Yarn 🙂 what a great idea! Thanks.
I like flowers
yarn!
give me yarn, and all is forgiven!
Yarn would definitely be number 1 with chocolate a close 2nd 😀
Chocolates
Well, since I’m a Grandmother and have already gone through the girlfriend/boyfriend stage where I received flowers; and gone through the being a Mother stage (twice) where I received the heart boxes of candy; I now am IN LOVE with crochet thread. So CROCHET THREAD is what I would most like to receive for Valentine’s Day.
Oh I would love, love, love to receive yarn as my Valentine’s gift and for every occasion on the calander.
Just found your site.. I’ve been crocheting for years and yarn is always the perfect surprise.
If I had to pick one….I would pick all three! Candy (I prefer chocolate) flowers and yarn! That way I could be inspired by the beautiful flowers and eat chocolate while I start my new project with my new yarn!!
I would like the yarn most because i make wrist warmers and scarves, and trying to finish a afghan.
Yarn would be great! Otherwise chocolate falls in second place.
I would have to say yarn. I have received flowers, candy and jewelry for valentine’s day, but yarn would be great. maybe my husband will see this and buy me the gift I want more then anything, yarn, yarn, yarn!
I CAN’T REMEMBER THE LAST TIME I EVEN GOT A VALENTINE GIFT, IF EVER. CANDY AND FLOWERS DONT LAST LONG , BUT WHAT IS MADE FROM YARN CAN AND WILL LAST FOR A LONG TIME. A GIFT THAT WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR MANY VALENTINE DAYS IN THE FUTURE. I WOULD TAKE THE YARN ANY DAY!!!!!
I am new at crocheting. I would love yarn for valentines day and I would love to try this pattern. I love the color of the yarn also. Good Luck to all the entries and Hope everyone has a very nice Valentines Day!!
My husband and children like to surprise me with a bunch of flowers when they go grocery shopping together. I know the flowers don’t last, but they do it just for me.
Don’t have anyone to give to or get from anymore. Husband passed 5 years ago. So I would love to win some YARN!!!! I do love to crochet for my grandchildren (9 of them) and great grandchildren (10 of them).
Flowers don’t last long and are too expensive. I love chocolate, but trying to lose weight. Since we are both unemployed, I would love to get some yarn to make things to sell at a local boutique.
Gotta’ say the yarn! Hands down, The Yarn! What more can I say, THE YARN!
I would’ve never thought of yarn as a valentines gift but now that you mention it, how awesome would that be?!?! I’m kinda picky about my yarn so maybe a gift card for yarn! I love this project! Very pretty and very classy!
It has to be yarn. Candy and flowers are nice by yarn last forever.
Would love to knit up this yarn!
Yarn, the more luxurious and special, the better!
Could there be any question of what I’d love most on Valentine’s Day? NO. NEVER ! It’s YARN YARN YARN….. of course. 🙂
Without a doubt, YARN!
I love dark chocolate! Yarn is my all-time favorite though…
My first choice would be candy – anything chocolate!!!
Yarn lasts longer and doesn’t go to the hips ;-}
Yarn would be the best Valentines Day present for me!
I love anything my husband surprises me with. He supports all of my hobbies and is snuggled under one of my latest afghans as I type. Lovely sweater, would be a joy to create!
My favorite Valentine’s gift has to be flowers and candy, a card, plus yarn! You smell the fragrance of the flower, see the flower petals silkiness, taste the candy’s sweetness, read your lover’s words, and touch and feel the yarn that you’ll use to make them something with!
I’ll pick yarn over candy and flowers any day new projects, new fun
yarn it would be Red goes with almost anything and to remember my mom who i miss so much
Why not ~ All Of The Above ~ for the perfect Valentine’s Day? Still; if I must only pick one then make mine a lovely collection of (out of season) Spring type flowers that smell delicious.
I would love a bouquet of flowers w/a card that included a gift card to my favorite yarn shop
I would love to receive yarn!!!
I would love to get flowers but Yarn is awesome also
Yarn, it can be beautiful, like flowers, and rich, like chocolate, but it lasts longer and doesn’t have to be exercised off.
Flowers are beautiful! Candy is sweet, but give me yarn any-day! It will last a life-time of Valentines to remember! <3
Red is my favorite color to work with!
Would love to make this sweater 🙂
My birthday is February 22. This would be a great 54th birthday present!
Ria
I would definitely have to say yarn, flowers die and im diabetic so candy is out lol
The month of February is an important month for me, because my sister survived lung cancer (non smoker). February 15 her right lung was removed 3 years ago. So I always crochet her something special for this month. This way I can continue my tradition. Thank you
As a widow, there are no Valentine’s Day gifts anymore. If I got to choose, it would be yarn, though. Talk about a gift that keeps giving!!!
Love yarn!!! Would share with my good friend Amy!!!
My favorite gift for any holiday or for no holiday at all is yarn! Candy, if it’s good dark chocolate, would come in second. I love the Crochet Red book. When I looked through the patterns on Ravelry, Marly’s pattern immediately jumped out as one I will make.
I would love yarn, I’ve just discovered my love of crochet.
Yarn, yarn and yarn.
I must admit — I would love to get ALL THREE. LOL I love flowers, especially the beautiful rose. The fragrance is breathtaking and always puts a smile on my face. Candy is always welcome — my favorite, Jelly Beans and Lemon Drops. (It brings out the kid in me) Those that know me never have to second guess what I like — Yarn, yarn and more yarn to add to my stash. I think I was born with a crochet hook in my hand
Yarn would ba an awesome valentine’s day gift. That’s what I’d want. Then you could make yourself something to keep your heart warm, that would last much longer than candy or flowers!
Yarn of course!! It doesn’t have any calories and it lasts for a long time.
I would love any one of those presents but I have never received yarn would be nice
I don’t really eat candy, and the only time I really like getting flowers is in the spring when I can plant my gardens. Plus, my fiancé prefers to give practical gifts that I will use, so he would probably get me yarn since I am always crocheting one thing or another, due to it being my stress reliever.
Candy
Candy is lovely but then you have to diet. Flowers are beautiful but then they die. Yarn is a gift you can re-gift in a whole new form by making things for others. I love practical gifts!!
yarn
I love to get candy for valentines, but the beautiful style and color of this top would be awesome as it reminds me of the liquid cherries which are one of my favorites
Yarn…..always yarn. It’s the best gift for any occasion.
I love to get candy but the beautiful style of this top and the colors are just awesom and remind me of liquid cherries which are my favorite
You can do SO much with yarn.
Yarn, yarn, yarn!
YARN ! YARN ! YARN ! OH BY THE WAY DID I MENTION YARN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the past it’s always been flowers, never chocolate. But as my husband has recently passed away I’m not likely to get anything, so winning yarn would be a great gift for Valentines.
In the past it’s always been flowers, never chocolates. But as my husband has recently passed away I know I’m not likely to get anything this year. Therefore, the gift I’d most like to receive would be yarn so I can make lots of lovely things for family and friends.
Yarn is the only gift I’d thank anyone for – for any occasion 😀
I’ll take flowers made of skeins of yarn! Lol… I just taught myself to crochet in Oct wpqe and am now a Yarnaholic…lol. I love it, its great for my health issues and I love giving my homemade gifts. My goal this year is to Not buy gifts but to make all of them. Thank u n good luck all (:
Yarn would be my favorite, you can make so many beautiful things, that warm the heart, and that last. And Red is my favorite color.
Being a self-professed chocaholic who also loves crochet makes it difficult to choose……. however what would be PERFECT would be to be able to win the yarn so I could work up this beautiful cowl sweater while popping the occasional chocolate…….. THAT would be the best of both worlds…………..lolol…………….
Love this sweater/cowl. Would really like to win so I could make it. My favorite thing for Valentines Day is to just be able to spend more time with my hubbie. 2nd favorite would be yarn so I would have a project to work on when he’s not home. You can only clean a house so much.
I would love to get yarn but I know I will get candy! And that is good too!
Since it’s my birthday today, I am hoping to convince my hubby to make it dinner and Yarn! I don’t get both days any more but that’s okay, I will take yarn for any and all holidays. I am attempting to learn how to knook and I think this would be a real beauty to work with!
Happy valentines
Mmmm! Wish I could have it all! Flowers are sooo expensive on valentines day that hubby uses that amount to buy flowers on the spur of the moment! Chocolate is once on the lips , forever on the hips. So, maybe this year I’ll get him to buy me chocolate scented yarn in gorgeous floral colors and have it all! A gift certificate for yarn would be fantastic
Yarn, without a doubt
I would rather have yarn!
As I gift I would love a yarn bouquet; someday I will buy one from Jimmy Beans Wool. Maybe in August as a birthday bouquet.
I love them all and would like all 3 please. LOL
It would be yarn, right now I am crocheting a Gingerbread house for next christmas. I crochet all kinds of animals for the grandbabies. They have Minnions, Star Wars figures, blocks, doll bassinets and many others.
Yarn!! with good chocolate a close second.
Definitely Yarn!
The choice between chocolate and yarn?! I would have to pick yarn with chocolate being a close second. Yarn lasts a lot longer and you can make so much with it!
Yarn now that I lost my best friend and husband last year. He made Valentine’s Day so special each year.
Yep, gonna go with yarn.
I really love flowers. It’s never roses – it’s always a different arrangement of different things. I look forward to seeing what creative things my husband has picked out year to year.
Jewellery.
Yarn, yarn and more yarn! Maybe some candy to keep my energy up while I knit. 🙂
well of course it would be Yarn!!! love to get some…..
Because I am always either crocheting or knitting, my favorite would have to be yarn.
I would LOVE YARN!!! You could make flowers with it 😉
this is the only time my favorite gift is chocolate, over yarn that is!
Yarn would be awesome!
Definitely YARN!!!
I would love to crochet this! and to win the yarn would be even nicer!!
Yarn is always a good thing!
I would love yarn, but the hubby doesn’t think I need any more! 🙂 Second would be flowers and then candy. Normally I get candy and a card.
Wellllll … that’s a tough one … but flowers don’t last very long, unfortunately chocolate lasts FOREVER on the hips soooooo I guess I’d have to say yarn 😉
Yarn, of course. Flowers and candy don’t last. Yarn can be made into something special that last a LOT longer.
Yarn!!!!
Gotta be yarn! 🙂
We have an almost 3 month old baby and a 4 year old as well, so time to ourselves (even just an hour!) with no kids would be the best gift (with a stop into the yarn store as well!)
Both my husband and myself love yarn. He is a weaver and I knit and crochet. Red is also my favorite color.
Yarn. OR a Yarn shopping spree! 🙂
Dark chocolate!
My husband died almost 4 years ago and I miss getting cards and candy from him. I feel like if I won this yarn, I could make it and think of him and imagine it as a hug from him forever. I sometimes re-read all his old Valentines to me. I really miss him. This hug might make it all better.
I would have to say my husband doesn’t like to give flowers, he says they die to fast, and candy doesn’t last. I like both but I would have to say I would absolutely love Yarn. My Grandmother taught me how to crochet and I love it so much! I make blankets and give them away for baby showers, graduations, and wedding gifts. I love it! It does my heart good to know that someone is enjoying something I loved making!
I would like all three but if I had to make a choice, I think chocolate. I buried by sweetheart on Valentine’s day 7 years ago so whenever I think of Valentine’s I remember when I did get chocolate every year.
I love flowers but they die way too fast. I love candy but it does not love me back so I would go with yarn. I love yarn, the feel and all the things I can create with it.
No doubt in my mind. I prefer yarn for any special day gift. Candy tastes wonderful but makes me fatter, flowers are beautiful but they die but yarn, yarn soothes the soul and brings joy to me and the person who receives the gift I make with the yarn. Thank you for the chance to win this wonderful gift.
Hi, WOW What a beautiful Sweater, I would love this and make extras for presents. I would have to say that Yarn with hooks with patterns on any day of the year for me. But for Valentines I would Love to have about 6 skeins of Yarn with a new Crochet Hook, with a new Pattern would be the GREATEST GIFT for me. What would make it better would to be able to receive that package once a month for a year. How about that, WOW. Thanks for the great things on your site. I LOVE it.
I love the flowers from my husband, but yarn would be a great gift at Valentine’s or any holiday!
Seeing my lab cuddled on a finished product. Lab tested ..lab approved!
My favorite gift would be to be able to sit and crochet with all the yarn that I have accumulated over the past few months. Orders are rolling in and I need a day to sit and crochet with out interruption! So YARN would be my answer.
Yarn!
Flowers – my man gets me pink roses every year. My very favorite flower. One year, I gave up the flowers and asked for a book on classic cars instead. I can’t tell you how many times we look thru that book! Would love to get both bouquets this year – the pink roses and the red yarn! 🙂
My favorite would be yarn of course. But yarn flowers would be nice too!
Yarn! Always yarn. Thanks for the chance to win!!!
I’m going “all out” and saying I’d LOVE some dark chocolate with Alpaca yarn!!!
I would rather take the flowers because you can preserve them and use 1/2 of an aspirin to keep them fresh and healthy. The Yarn on the other hand – I can learn to make crochet roses and keep them 4ever and ever.
Just getting back into crochet after being away for over 20yrs. It’s something my grandmother and I use to enjoy doing together, I wish she were still around to see the creativity and imagination that flows from people.
Yarn….what a great idea.
my husband would say none of the above, rose allergy, chocolate allergy, and I could probably open my own craft store with all the yarn in my craft room….but I would still pick the yarn. It seems no matter how much i have, there are just some projects I can never seem to have the right shade of a color that would fit my mood for the project. So yeah yarn would be nice!!
For me it would be yarn! I don’t care for flowers unless they are picked in the wild; and not crazy about most chocolate, I have to have a craving for it.
My favorite Valentines gift would have to be yarn. Red yarn!
Yarn, yarn YARN!!!
Definitely yarn. I love snapdragons. I like to pretend they’re roaring at each other. Other than that, my interest in flowers is nil unless I can eat them. Candy is nice, but I have to share it, and wonder what it’s doing to our teeth. Yarn is always preferable. And now that my husband has learned to knit, and is working on a yarn stash to rival mine, we spend a lot more time looking at yarn!
yarn or candy
Yarn, Yarn, Yarn!!! I have the most amazing husband who buys me yarn for almost every occasion….but there is always room for more! I’m a yarnaholic.
Yarn, you can NEVER have enough!!!!!
I love yarn but I think my husband thinks I have too much of it so he would get me chocolates instead.
Regarding Valentine’s Day and Love. My husband and I have been married for 44 years in May and we believe in romance. It is not always on Valentines Day ( he did bring me a dozen yellow roses) bu to include some bit or Romance very day. We do a 6 second goodbye in the morning (stats show longevity in a marriage if you do) and make a point to hug and kiss frequently. there is nothing better than to be loved and I am!!!
Peace
Julie
Number one choice yarn, number two choice flowers and number three choice dark chocolate (or white).
Chocolate eaten and gone,
flowers die and you throw them away,
YARN lasts for a long time thats a wonderful gift.
Always love a giveaway
Candy is not in my diet, flowers wither and fade away, but yarn keeps giving and giving. Always something new to try, presents to give away, and knowing the gift of a handmade yarn item, will bring you to mind every time it is used. Yarn absorbs many of my lonely hours and sometimes my best friend.
I would love Yarn or a gift card to micheals so I can go choose and buy my own,But I will probably get a day of peace and quite to d what I want
Yarn is more fun for everyone. More than 1 person can enjoy it.
My favorite would be flowers as in a flowering plant I can put in the yard.
Definitely yarn, it will give me more enjoyment and I can always make flowers or candy with yarn if I want them.
OMG !!!! YARN YARN YARN!!! That would be true love!!! OOHHH if only yarn or a trip to the yarn store! Any kind, any color,,,LOVE LOVE LOVE…..YARN!! : )
It would have to be flowers and maybe some sugar free chocolate.
Yarn would be wonderful too!
