Since I’m trying to lose weight & flowers die so quickly, it would have to be yarn. What a great idea!

I prefer to get plants that are alive like a mini rosebush or houseplant because though cut flowers are beautiful they die. Chocolate is good but again you eat it and it’s gone I guess what I am trying to say is that something like a plant is a gift that keeps on giving and everytime it flowers you are reminded of that special someone who gave it to you!

What’s your favorite Valentine’s Day gift: Flowers, Candy, or Yarn? It would be yarn I have never tried Bijou Spun yarns before are they soft? Crochet Red looks like an interesting book. Most of the time I don’t get any thing for Valentine’s Day unless I buy it myself. I can wait for spring for flowers and it is hard to buy myself candy. Yarn can last so much longer and make useful things.

My passion is crocheting and creating some really neat things with yarn. I started crocheting 51 yrs ago and to see how far crocheting has come from way back when just amazes me. There are so many talented young and old crocheters (male and female) these days. I learn a new stitch almost weekly and I can’t wait to try new yarns and threads. I wish everyone could win this giveaway because we all deserve it, just for loving to crochet. Good luck everyone and Happy Valentines Day……Happy Hooking

If I have to pick one, I’d go with the yarn, because those colors are just breathtaking. But I think a lovely rose bush with a box of dark chocolate would be a great accompaniment the that beautiful bouquet of yarn.

A bouquet of yarn is the ideal gift for anyone who crochets. I can’t have chocolates, flowers are pretty but short lived, a bouquet of yarn can become a sweater, an afgan , mittens and so much more to last my lifetime and many more after that. So YARN is my choice of the best way to say “I love you”…….

Chocolate is once on the lips , forever on the hips. So, maybe this year I’ll get him to buy me chocolate scented yarn in gorgeous floral colors and have it all! A gift certificate for yarn would be fantastic

I would have to say my husband doesn’t like to give flowers, he says they die to fast, and candy doesn’t last. I like both but I would have to say I would absolutely love Yarn. My Grandmother taught me how to crochet and I love it so much! I make blankets and give them away for baby showers, graduations, and wedding gifts. I love it! It does my heart good to know that someone is enjoying something I loved making!

Definitely yarn. I love snapdragons. I like to pretend they’re roaring at each other. Other than that, my interest in flowers is nil unless I can eat them. Candy is nice, but I have to share it, and wonder what it’s doing to our teeth. Yarn is always preferable. And now that my husband has learned to knit, and is working on a yarn stash to rival mine, we spend a lot more time looking at yarn!

Regarding Valentine’s Day and Love. My husband and I have been married for 44 years in May and we believe in romance. It is not always on Valentines Day ( he did bring me a dozen yellow roses) bu to include some bit or Romance very day. We do a 6 second goodbye in the morning (stats show longevity in a marriage if you do) and make a point to hug and kiss frequently. there is nothing better than to be loved and I am!!!
