Just this past weekend, we attended the annual 2015 Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show in Anaheim, California. This annual show gives us a sneak peek at all of the hot new trends in the crafting world. We were not only lucky enough to play with all of the new craft supplies that will be hitting stores this year, but we also got a front row seat the Lion Brand CHA Fashion Show.
Leave it to Lion Brand to put on one impressive show! The theme of Lion Brand’s fashion show this year was “You Can Do It!” and the entire show focused on intricate-looking crochet and knit designs that are surprisingly simple to make (yes, even for beginners!) Many of the patterns seen on the CHA catwalk were comprised of granny squares and simple rectangles that were joined together to create something larger, such as the Small Squares Crochet Shawl, and the Diagonal Squares Afghan. Stay tuned for some of the fashion show designs to be added to AllFreeCrochet and AllFreeKnitting!
This lively fashion show featured the latest knit and crochet patterns from Lion Brand, all of which will be available for free on Lion Brand’s website by March 15, 2015. The show was divided into five different sets: Simple Rectangles, Rectangles Sewn Together, A Bit of Technique, Color & Texture, and The Achievable Wow. Some themes that were impossible to ignore this year were granny squares, earth-inspired tones, and super easy patterns that appear more advanced than they really are.
The team at Prime Publishing (our company that hosts AllFreeCrochet, AllFreeKnitting, and 26 other cooking and crafting websites) also hosted the third annual Blogger Networking Event! Bloggers and companies alike were honored and excited to participate because this particular event brings together talented bloggers with respected crafting companies in the industry.
