We all love to crochet granny squares. I know I’m always super excited to try out new patterns to see if I can do it. Or maybe you started that granny square afghan and make all the squares, but you never finished it. Sound familiar? This video is for you.
If you’ve accumulated a stash of squares, follow this video tutorial to see just how easy it is to connect your squares. Really, this video is easy to follow and the squares connect so neatly. There won’t be a good excuse to “knot” connect your squares after watching this tutorial. Your new goal? Finish that afghan once and for all!
Join your squares to create something new. You can connect the squares to make a pillow, a vest – you name it. This video shows how to make a pillow, but the technique is the same for any project.
Learn two of the many joining methods. There is the overcast stitch, which is a simple and effective way to join squares quickly. Or, you can actually single crochet the edges together if you don’t want the joining yarn to show. Do you have any other ideas for granny square projects? We’d love to hear how creative you are!
Which do you prefer: the overcast stitch or the sewn look?
