Cool Girl Knits: Breezy Knit Tops, Slouchy Knit Hat Patterns & More

March 27, 2014 by AllFreeKnitting 19 Comments

One of my favorite parts about spring is being able to wear drapey fabrics, airy knits, and beautiful, flowing tops. This laid back, casual style is one of my favorite ways to dress. With April being just four days away (can you believe it?) I got inspired to comb through AllFreeKnitting for some of my favorite “cool girl” knitting patterns. You’ll love this effortlessly chic collection of slouchy knit hat patterns, breezy knit top patterns, and lightweight scarves.

Cool Girl Knits: Breezy Knit Tops, Slouchy Knit Hat Patterns & More

Safina ScarfFifty Shades of Linen Top – Step out in this easy breezy knit linen top. The flowing fit is flattering on a variety of body types. You’ll love the way the sleeves and hem of this chic top flutter in the wind.

Simple Vanilla Hat – The Simple Vanilla Hat is the quintessential laid back knit beanie pattern. Its slouchy fit and airy construction will have you sending fee-good vibes to everyone you meet.

Loop Scarf – Simplicity is key for looking effortlessly cool, so why not whip up this basic knit infinity scarf for an easy finishing touch? We love the warm honey hue of the Loop Scarf, but any other spring color would be a stylish addition to your wardrobe.

Casual Knit Top – This is one of my favorite knitting patterns on AllFreeKnitting. The Casual Knit Top drapes in all the right places and is the perfect weight for a beautiful spring day. Be a stunner in this easy-going, semi-sheer knit top pattern.

FIfty Shades of Linen TopMarigold Slouch Beanie – A knit beanie pattern is one of the easiest ways to add a cool girl vibe to whatever you’re wearing. The Marigold Slouch Beanie offers all this and much more. A warm gold hue and a beautiful stitch design combine to form a laid back beanie you’ll love taking credit for.

City Girl Cowl – Simple and chic, the City Girl Cowl is a year-round basic you’ll wonder how you lived without. Pair it with a fun graphic tee (as shown in the featured image) or throw it over an airy spring dress for a casual-cool look.

Safina Scarf – Add a pop of color to your spring get-up with the pretty Safina Scarf. We love the look of this scarf tucked under a light leather jacket for a feminine urban look.

Marigold Slouch BeanieEasy Breezy Summer Top – This cute and casual knit top pattern is perfect for a lazy summer day. The fit and style of this top is the perfect complement to your laid back personality.

Sunny Cardigan – This lovely, laid back knit cardigan pattern is perfect for stash-n-go wear. Throw it on for an easy solution when the temperature drops unexpectedly.

Classic and casual! I love to live in jeans and very casual tops when I can. But will upscale to a classic look when I need to…ie. dinners, meetings.

Eclectic, bohemian, hippie? I have arthritis and fibromyalgia so whatever is relatively professional and comfortable at the same time.

My clothing style vacillates between boho and business casual. It’s weird, but it keeps things interesting.
