I am new to crochet,and seem to be having a problem with the pattern curling up as I work.it. Any hints on what I am doing wrong?
I would check to see that you are using the right hook for the yarn, the right yarn for the project and if one or more of these 3 things don’t bring about the desired effect, try to make an effort to relax your tensions. Sometimes it is simply no more than that you simply need to make a conscious effort to relax while you crochet. I learned how to crochet when I was 5 ano knew all of the basic stitches, however all I learned then was how to make doilies or lace edgings for pillowcases or dresser scarves, all of which was done out of yarn. Fast forward fifty years and I decided to join the shawl ministry in our church. My first attempt with yarn I was guilty of all 3 things and my work curled back on itself like ringlets some lucky girls get in their hair. Good luck.
