Hi all my lovely crocheters! We’re going to try something new this week and I really hope you participate. Because the spring season is finally upon us, I have chosen two patterns that I think you will love to make for this challenge.
Leona Flower– This beautiful pattern forms a fabulous three layer bloom. It’s an easy crochet pattern you can work up in just a few minutes (or for me, about 30 minutes). You can transform this flower into a headband, a pin or add it to a top or bag as an embellishment. Use your creativity and beautiful bold colors!
Tiny Butterflies– These butterflies are so simple to make, you can crochet many of them in a short period of time. I think these would look great attached to a headband for a little girl or even attached to a summer hat. What other great ideas do you have?
Once you have made one or both of these patterns, please post your photos in our photo gallery on Flickr and make sure you tag it with either “free crochet flowers” or “butterfly crochet” (in quotes as shown) depending on what project you chose to make. You can create a Flickr account and sign in using Yahoo, Google or your Facebook account. We love seeing how creative you can be with your color choices and what you might turn these patterns into.
Here comes the fun part! We will then randomly choose a winner for a prize package. The winner will be chosen on Wednesday May 16 at noon. The only way you can win is if you post your photos and tag them correctly, as stated above. It’s that easy! Good luck and we can’t wait to see your creations!
Congratulations to Hot_Oregon_Granny who was randomly selected as the winner of this challenge! Thanks to all those who participated!
