Summer has always been my favorite season. Those long days at the beach spent splashing around in the water and lounging in the sand. Or spending the weekend at the lake, fishing and reading a book in the shade of the pines. Water is a huge part of all my summer activities (what better way to stay cool on those scorching days!) and that’s why I love these crochet ripple afghan patterns.
Not only are they easy to make but the wavy design reminds me of ripples in the water. It’s the best way to bring the beach or lake to you! If you’re looking for your next afghan pattern why not make one of these summer-inspired designs.
Beginner’s Round Ripple
Ripple afghans are a great pattern for those just starting out with crochet or those who are more advanced and want a quick project. This Beginner’s Round Ripple is one of my favorite designs because it reminds me of the aqua waters of a tropical beach. It’s a wonderful way to give your home a beachy, summery feel.
Manly Ripple Afghan
I love going up to the lake house with my family, it’s one of my favorite summer traditions. The colors of this Manly Ripple Afghan reminds me of the calm water of the lake, the sand of the beach and the forests of trees near the shore. The soft wavy design is so calming and the afghan looks so cozy.
Neat Ripple Afghan
Where there’s water there’s bound to be a rainbow. Whether it’s a sun shower in the middle of the afternoon or just the spray of a sprinkler, rainbows are a common sighting in the summer. The vibrant colors of the Neat Ripple Afghan are inspired by the vibrancy of a rainbow. There might not be a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow but this ripple afghan pattern is a real treasure.
