Spring is Here! Make Crocheted Flowers!

March 23, 2013 by AllFreeCrochet

Spring is officially here; let’s shout at the top of our lungs and dance around in our flip flops! Oh wait, it’s still freezing here in Chicago. What is this? At least we know the spring season is just around the corner because how long can it really stay this cold when the calendar says it’s time? Let’s brighten our homes (and our moods) with some crocheted flowers. We’ve rounded up some of the cutest free crochet flower patterns for your enjoyment. Fill your home with flowers and adorn your desk tops because it’s time to bring a little color back into our lives.

Crocheted Flowers:

5 Petal Crochet Flower 5 Petal Crochet Flower – The double layer of this crocheted flower will add a nice touch to any project as it will pop with personality. Attach the flower to a button or pin and wear it proudly for Easter.

Forever Blooming Flowers Forever Blooming Flowers – Just as the name states, these flowers will be in bloom year round without having to water them. You can determine the size of this flower by adding more rounds for a bigger bloom, or keep it simple with a single or double layer.

Irish Rose Crochet Flower Irish Rose – The popcorn stitch is used to create this beautiful bloom. Choose your favorite colors or choose the brightest colors. The raised effect makes it look like it’s coming to life.

Loopy Spring Flower Loopy Spring Flower – Add this floral applique to just about anything you wish. It would look just as adorable sewn onto a hat as it would a jean jacket. The colors shown are great for spring, but you can use any two colors you want.

Simple Spring Rosettes Simple Spring Rosettes – These roses can be used any time of year. If crocheted with bulky yarn, you can attach it to a head warmer during the winter. These would also look super cute if they were worked up with sparkly yarn.

The 5 Minute Flower The Five Minute Flower – This will always be one of our favorites. The blue color is stunning and really makes the crocheted flower stand out. Single crochet and double crochet is worked in the round. The button center makes it a unique design.

Loopy Flower Brooch Loopy Flower Brooch – The beautiful shades of purple are great for Easter or Mother’s Day. This is an easy crochet pattern that even beginners can work up. Watch the quick video if you’re a visual learner.
