Darling Daisy Toddler Beanie

March 22, 2016 by Stitch&Unwind 3 Comments

This Striped Toddler Beanie from Daisy Cottage Designs is the perfect way to protect your little one from the early spring chill. While the weather isn’t quite warm enough yet to go outside without bundling up, the adorable crochet flower on this crochet hat pattern keeps things festive and toasty at the same time! I love the way the bright pink flower looks with the blue and white stripes, but if it’s a hat for a boy you could leave the flower off altogether for a simpler look. You can pack up the winter hats – this springtime toddler hat will be just fine until it’s officially warm outside!

Having both a niece and a nephew, I’m always looking for creative gift ideas that I can use to please both the girl and the boy without buying separate items. This Striped Toddler Beanie is perfect! I crocheted two blue and white beanies, adding a pink flower on the beanie for my niece, and shipped them to my half-sister. Upon arrival, my half-sister could not stop praising how cute and conventional these beanies were, sending a picture of her kids with them on. They’re definitely as darling as their name describes!

Thank you so much for sharing this! I’m learning to crochet and this is the perfect project for me. My little brother was born just last week and I want to make him something rather than just simply buying him presents. The hat is for a toddler so I would have enough time to add my own little touches as my technique becomes more advanced. I love the blue and white pattern and how warm it looks. I think little Jonathan will love it too! 🙂

Hello Crafters, I am trying to teach myself to crochet. I have no use of my left arm or hand. Does anyone one have any tips or ideas that could give me some help . Thank you for your help.
