I make newborn hats for the hospital, hats and scarves for the homeless and stump socks for the vet home.
i love knitting/crocheting for charity! i participated in knit, pray, love last year and made hats for orphan babies who underwent surgery in Afghanistan. i pray as i knit or crochet hats for friends undergoing chemotherapy. i make and donate items for raffles and fundraisers. i’m thankful that many folks have donated bags of yarn to me…all it takes is a little bit of my time to make something to help someone else.
Just learning to make hats….for the homeless. It would be great to win something that nice.

I’m new at this so, I’m not confident enough to submit anything to charity yet but I know that 1 day I’ll be good enough and confident enough to finally be able to “give back” .
your work is appreciated no matter the quality,i coordinate 2 warm up america groups, one at the local womens prison that i started before I retired there.we receive a lot of yarn donations when they hear what we do.they go to homeless groups, childrens hospitals that serve cardiac surgery- those receive little red hats. look around your area, there will be many places that would love to receive your work. good luck…..
I AM IN A PRAYER SHAWL GROUP IN MY COMMUNITY . A SMALL COUNTY IN SOUTH EASTERN OHIO
I have donated chemo caps to the cancer center where my grandma undergoes treatment. I also donated a crocheted pumpkin pie to them that had spices inside of it so it smelled like the real thing. People who were nauseous from the chemo said smelling the spices helped them feel better.
I send my hats and prayer cloths to “crochet for cancer”
I crochet for our church’s prayer shawl ministry. We also give baby blankets to sick babies as well as crocheted stuffed animals. I also crochet assorted items to sell that benefit our church’s nursery school scholarship fund.
I have made chemo hats and homeless hats and scarfs (placed in town with note, “this is free, take and be warm), also working on some baby items for hospital.
I enjoy crocheting scarves for our local Pettingill House / Food Pantry’s winter coat program in Salisbury MA and just finished a camo color scarf for the Veteran’s in Newburyport MA.
Made a hat for a cancer victim under going chemotherapy. On a very limited budget now, or would try to make some more to give to cancer victims.

I crochet for our church’s prayer shawl ministry. Around Christmas time we have also been crocheting Santa hats for the NICU at a local hospital. Some of our members are also involved in crocheting for other charities, such as chemo hats, etc.
I crochet special orders and to do large sales as fundraisers for the Evergreen ALS Association; newborn hats for Northwest Hospital; and other local fundraising.
I have made baby blankets for the organization “Binky Patrol”. They donate the blankets to homeless shelters and hospitals.
Started the Berry Creek Linus Circle almost 12 year ago and we make crochet, knitted and quilted blankets for children located in the central Texas area. To date we have made over 8000 blankets and the main organization which is the Linus Connection has made close to 80,000 in the last 14 years.
i just completed 3 hats and a scarf for a young woman who’s is going through chemo for breast cancer. I was humbled to do this for her.
I am just learning to crochet. Currently, I teach knitting to 4th-6th grade students. They are working on baby items, such as hats, mittens and booties that will be donated to charity.Next year, I want to teach them to crochet…then they can choose to knit or crochet.
I have made hats for Halos of Hope and for a Native American school’s kids. Currently I’m almost finished with a squares blanket with flower appliques to donate to Camp Erin for grieving children.
