I love self striping in just about any color and watching how the pattern changes when used in different projects. My most recent waa shades of purple/teal stripe that i used a diagonal rib and when finished the first half created a big “x” in the middle and the second created a big “o”.. I lined it and made it a project bag and promptly named it my hugs and kisses (xoxo) bag sunce it was made this month. Its hard to pick one color but i gravitate towards jewel tones.

I crochet more than I knit, but can do both. My favorite colors are shades of blue and purple for me and all pastel colors for babies. I also like bright and bold colors. I belong to a knitting/crocheting club and we do special projects sometimes. We just finished one using red, white, and blue to make scarves for a group of handicapped people for their Special Olympics, needed by Jan. 6th 2014. They could be any pattern as long as they were red, white and blue. They needed at least 1000 scarves so all the club across Indiana worked on this project. Last year we made over 100 hats for our local Cancer Society using any color or pattern we chose. I have also made several afghans and baby blankets for raffles to raise money for different charities. So I would love to win and could make good use of any yarn and patterns I would get. Thank you.
