If you love winter sports, or just have to deal with cold weather, these patterns will certainly keep you nice and warm.     My favorite Olympian is Jeremy Abbott. He had a serious fall during his routine. He got up. He finished his skate. I cheered him on to the very end. With my little ones watching, he showed great courage, enthusiasm for his sport and above all, he didn’t quit!!! Way to go Jeremy!!

    I enjoy everything about the Winter Olympics. I love the different neck cowls or scarfs. I also enjoy checking out the knitted hats. USA has the best neck cowls or scarf fashions as well as their hats. Go USA.

    I love Jason Brown’s exuberance. He still quite young and doesn’t have all the big jumps so he’s had to really concentrate on his skating. It is a wonderful change from those routines that are jump-heavy to the detriment of the actual skating.

    Dr Sammy Lee will always be my favorite USA Olympic athlete. He was the first Korean American to win an Olympic gold medal for the US and the first man to win back to back gold medals in Olympic platform diving

    Skier Bode Miller – not a young athlete but one who is still conditioned and skiing for the cause; was bravely emotional at end of his race which he dedicated to brother that died this last year.

    My favorite winter Olympian is Bode Miller AND Shawn White. Both young men are outstanding athletes in their fields and class acts. Shawn an excellent business man. And Bode someone who sticks by his strong sense of family. Both showed real class even when they did not place.

    I am an Olympic junky! I love the skill and dedication demonstrated by each athlete. LOVE the figure skaters, particularly Davis and White – but I’m also very fond of the cross country skiers and the biathletes!

    I like all the athletes but I love their parents and coaches and others who sacrifice time and money to get our athletes to the podium! Those people are the real hero’s! I’m a Canadian and I watch and cheer as many US athletes as I do Canadian athletes! Who can’t help but go cheer on the Jamacian BobSled team!!

    My favourite winter sports Olympic athletes were Shalynn Bourne and Victor Kratz who used to be Canada’s top ice dancers. They were amazing to watch. 🙂

    Meryl Davis and Charlie White danced/skated so beautifully last night to My Fair Lady songs. They looked so comfortable out there.     I wasn’t ever much of a skeleton fan but after seeing the story about Noelle Pikus-Pace this past week, she is one of my new favorite Olympians. She has such a great attitude and is an inspiration to keep going after your dreams but keep your priorities straight. She’s the true spirit of the Olympics!

    All the athletes are so good it’s hard to pick just one for a favorite, but I must say that my favorite winter sports athlete is my niece Jackie. She plays hockey on her school team as well as skis and skates every chance she gets. She is hoping to take it further when she gets out of high school.

    I really like to cheer for the Jamaican Bobsled Team. They have trained in Evanston, Wyoming since before the Salt Lake City Games. (I lived in Wyoming for 28 years…) They may never win a medal, but they are dedicated to their sport, give back to their adopted community and embody the true Olympic Spirit.

    Evgeny Plyushchenko, legendary figure skater retiring during this Olympics – numerous back surgeries have taken their toll. Yet he will be remembered for competing in 4 Olympics – he is a champion.

    For me, it’s got to be the Jamaica Bobsleigh team. They may have come last in the competition, but they won everyone’s heart! They probably won’t need their wooly accessories when they go back home, though!

    I really don’t have “one” favorite sports figure. I feel that they are all GREAT athletes or they would not be at the Olympics.
