How do I stay warm in the winter? Well to be honest I live in a climate that is warm and most of the year I wear shorts. But when it is ‘ chilly’ we have had a frost. From December to February I like to have an Afghan or a throw to work on in the early mornings or late evenings to keep my legs warm. I wear a crocheted poncho that I made, on cool days. And on cool rainy days I even pull out one of my many hats I have made. Stay warm.

I stay warm in the winter by layering with warm handknit mittens, scarfs, and hats and go outside to play in the snow with my five grandchildren. We also enjoy hot cocoa when we come back inside.

When going outside, I layer up. Start with an old cashmere sweater, vest, knitted wool scarf, knitted felted hat, gloves and coat. Can’t move too fast but at least I am warm. When inside, I sit in my knitting chair and enjoy the pleasure of knitting.

I love being out side in the winter. add a little snow falling and snowshoeing though the trees its a wonderful feeling. coming in after, having some hot tea, and wrapping yourself in a crocheted blanket you made, now that’s a great day!
