My favorite knitting needles would be anything made with bamboo. I knit extremely tightly and metal and plastic make knitting too difficult for me!

My favorite are bamboo circular needles because it makes for smoother knitting (yarn slides off more easily) and the circular needles are so convenient.

Skacel’s “Addi Turbo” nickel-plated circular needles are my favorites. They are extremely smooth and “quick,” with no jog where the cable joins. I love circulars in general because you can do anything with them…straight knitting, large circular, two-needle small circular. With these in my repertoire, I don’t need straight needles or DPNs.

My favorite knitting needles are the plastic circular needles. The tips are nice and pointy and good for picking up a variety of yarns more easily. Also, when doing a pattern that calls for a turn, its easier to drop the left needle, put the yarn behind the right needle, turn your work, and start knitting back the other way. 🙂

I prefer bamboo needles by Takumi/Clover. The bamboo is nicely polished, so the yarn glides easily off the tips without splitting. They’re also “quieter” to knit on…a plus when you’re knitting at night in bed.

I love to use bamboo needles. They are not too slippery, but yet let the yarn move smoothly. The bamboo is sturdy and allows you to feel like you have control. The wood has a classiness that matchess that of the yarn; and it gives me a feeling of luxury and richness.

I know this isn’t the type of answer you’re looking for, but I would have to say my favorites are the ones that belonged to my step-grandmother. I don’t knit often, but when she passed away I was given her zippered tapestry needle case along with all her knitting needles inside. Although the needles don’t get much use, because I prefer to crochet, I have fond memories of her every time I look at them.

My favorite knitting needles would be the Knitpick Harmonies circular set. I also have the Knitpick options circular set. These are the 2 sets I go to the most for knitting. I love the points and cables on both sets. I also love how smooth the wood is on the Harmonies. I have a lot of other brand of needles such Addi Turbo needles, Clover Bamboo, Chia Goo bamboo straights and circulars, Susan Bates aluminum and quick silver straights, and Boye interchangable circular needles.

I’ve been knitting less than a year and I find bamboo circular needles the easiest to use, since they tend to grip the yarn better than metal or plastic. And the other good thing about them is the material is self-sustainable, so I’m also being Green.

My absolutely, squibbly-wibbly favorite needles are my new Signature Arts needles. I’m knitting toys for charity, and the pattern often calls for knitting through the front and back loop. These needles, with their stiletto, extra-pointy points really dig in there and get the job done easily. Well worth the investment.

Until about a year ago, my favorite needles were my Addi Turbo circs. So smooth, so slick! Then I found Kollage square circulars. I can hold them without my hands aching. They’re flexible, so the cord doesn’t have a mind of its own. And, for the first time, I can knit to gauge with the recommended needle size!
