This is one of my favorite ways to work up an afghan because it’s so convenient; if you only have a few precious minutes for crocheting, you can whip up a few squares and assemble them later. This makes your home decor extra personal, and these types of blankets also make very thoughtful gifts. One of my favorite presents that I ever received came from my grandmother, who spent many weeks working up a blanket for me because she knows how much I like to curl up in one and read.
