I use the Tunisian simple stitch for graphed afghans; working the colors in as I go. Would love to learn variations of the Tunisian to expand my skills.
i’ve a pig i know i should finish … cross stitch on a tunisian afghan that i started years ago … i know that my greatgranson would love it [cross stitched whales are done] the kit was a gift, and much appreciated at the time, but … anyway i’ve done other tunisian projects back in the day when it was called afghan stitch. tunisian is softer, more pliable and has a better drape than crocheting and like it for sweaters though i’ve never did colorwork with it.
Yes, I do know how to do Tunisian crochet 😀 I love the look and drape of the full stitch, but would love to try out new stitches and patterns!
I do all my afghans in tunisian crochet with the patterns crocheted in as I go along. I would love to learn different techniques, skills, tips, etc.. I love to do afghans.
I’ve used Tunisian crochet a few times and have just ordered some adjustable hooks as I found the afghan hook too unwieldy for me. I also like using an adapted method which I believe I learned from Teresa over at Crochet Geek. Here’s a lapghan I made using this adapted method and a regular hook. I also used the stitch in this winter cap.
Thanks for the chance to win a copy of the book Tunisian Crochet Encore.
Stay inspired!
