I’d go with my husband to Hawaii. Neither of us has ever visited and we would love another honeymoon.
I would go to New Zealand.
“Off the Florida Keys, there’s a place called Kokomo, that’s where you want to go to get away from it all.” -Beach Boys song Kokomo
I would go to Jamaica. My mother goes every year. The pictures and stories she brings back cause me to daydream about it often.
I want to go too! Tell me how to post a comment. Very hard to figure out! In 1973 my mother in law went to hawaii and brought me back a shawl, I loved the island colors. Have dreamed of going since.
Off to Maui!!!
Any where with my husband with a drink that has an umbrella in it!! 😉
I have never been any where except Texas. So, just getting to go on a trip any where would be awesome. I have dreamed of going to the Greek Islands with my hubby. We never had a honeymoon and I am 71, so not a lot of years left to take a wonderful honeymoon trip.
Though most people may not consider this island part of a tropical island paradise, the island I would choose is Okinowa, Japan. My husband and I spent the first 3 years of our married life there. It is a beautiful island.
I would love to go to Hawaii.
I think the Bahamas sound good!! But anywhere with sun and sand would do!!!
I’ve always wanted to go to Tahiti & then visit some of the smaller islands around there. I’ve seen pictures of huts over the calm waters & it’s just so amazing.
I would go to Fiji or Malta.
St Croix, again! Allow me to explain… my husband and I went there for our honeymoon. It was magical (and colorful)! The hotel we stayed at was pink! Not girly pink, but Caribbean Pink! The colors of that island remain vivid to this day in my mind!
I have always wanted to visit Hawaii and I would use this to do so.
Almost any island in the Caribbean…we already have our next trip planned in January. Scuba diving, here we come!
I would very much like to go to aruba. I’ve heard so much about it and would love to go to see for myself! Jo
Balise My nephew does volunteer work there and so I have read up on it. Its a little of the “tourist road”. so more relaxing
I would probably like to go to the Caribbean Islands. Maybe I could explore my inner pirate! I have never traveled outside the U.S. but I would love too!
Hawaii is where I’d go.
I would like to go to the Caribbean Islands. Just to be able to spend that with my small family and have all the memories of what a great time we had can not beat anything else.
To the Bahamas. I have never been and would love to experience it with my husband.
Cyprus! I’ve met a few people from there and would love to visit!
would love to go to the Bahamas or Jamaica.
Hawaii would be great!
Anywhere but here! Being landlocked in the panhandle of Idaho is soooo NOT any kind of getaway. Pretty much any place that has a view of the ocean would be like a tropical island to us.
St. Kitts is our “go-to” destination! Amazing people, beautiful beaches.
I would love to visit Fiji!
I haven’t been to any islands, just mainlands. With that said, I would entertain the idea of going to the Philippines! There’s more than JUST one island to go to and a very rich culture indeed.
I would love to go to Hawaii. Not the tourist Hawaii but one or more of the lesser known islands where you would be able to see what the real Hawaiians do and how they live.
i havent been anywhere exotic but would love to have that chance
My husband and I have been married for 31 years and have never had a honeymoon. I would love to go to St Lucia, where our youngest son and new daughter-in-law went for their honeymoon a few months ago.It looks amazing!
I would go with a friend to the Caribbean islands and explore all the grand colors of this tropical island for inspiration in my next project. Oh, the beaches and the rest of the island would be great as well!
I would love to go anywhere in Hawaii! It is a beatiful place. I would love to see my favorite bird there – the hummingbird!
I’d love to revisit Hawaii
I’ve always wanted to go to Hawaii. Ever since I saw my parents’ pictures from their honeymoon there I have been obsessed.
I would love to return to Maui, and bring my husband and littles with me. My parents brought us when I was in high school and it was so beautiful and perfect!
Hawaii! I have always wanted to go.
I would like to be able to go to the Bahamas with my husband and just spend the days enjoying his company. No worry, no stress.
I would go with my husband to Bermuda. It was where we had originally planned our honeymoon, 30 years ago, but then changed at the last minute for budget reasons. But I had researched the island and had heard so many wonderful things about it from others who had visited there.
I would love to go to Trinidad with my son and go to my first Carnival.
I live in my tropical destination, but would love to see Figi!
Hawaii, with my entire family
Cabarete, a town in the Puerto Plata province of the Dominican Republic. Members of my husbands family call it their second home.
Hawaii, Jamaica, the Bahamas
the bahama would be it for me it is so beautiful there.
Somewhere underpopulated so I could enjoy it without crowds.
ANY tropical island would be fine by me. Especially in February! LOL
Belize. Went there once when I was in High School. It was amazing.
As long as my husband was with me, I would go to any tropical island! Without him, it wouldn’t be fun. 🙂
Anywhere with sand and water…Kauai…Bahamas…Jamaica…any one would be really fabulous.
Hawaii would be a great getaway for me since I have not been there yet and it’s on my bucket list and i had no vacation for three years …
back to Hawaii!
I would love to go to the beautiful blue oceans of the Caribbean!
I love Aruba!
Why, Barbados of course!!
I would enjoy any tropical island getaway with my husband but I think I would absolutely love Bali or the Fiji islands. We never had a honeymoon and it is hard to plan trips when you are in the military because our time together is never guaranteed. Our 5 year wedding anniversary is coming up next month and it will not be spent together due to military training that my husband has to do. It’s the lifestyle and I am extremely grateful for the man I married but a getaway would be fantastic. A girl can dream right?! 🙂
If I could go to a tropical paradise getaway I would go with my husband to some little bungalow in Fiji where you wake up and walk out the door and see the beautiful clear blue water and white sand beaches.
I’d love to go to Hawaii….
I would love to go to the Caribbean. My family went on a cruise in that area when I was about 9 years old, and I would love to revisit that beautiful area and make more wonderful memories.
I would lock myself away in my room with some marvelous tropical color yarns and knit until my hearts content!
With all the honeymoon talk that the new fiance and I have done…I would love to have a trip to Bali. All that beautiful water and those over water bungalows are amazing too!
I would want to go to Hawaii. I lived there as a child and would love to go as an adult to see what it is like. I would like to go to different islands esp the Big Island.
Anywhere that is lush and green with warm azure blue water and sand that is easy to walk on. Could be a European island paradise like Madeira.
I would love to go to Hawaii with my husband!
I would go to Hawaii. It is a beautiful place with many places to sit in the sun and crochet.
Anywhere warm, palm trees, ocean, sunshine!!!
I would go back home to Antigua and spend time with my husband traveling the island and staying in a quiet bungalow.
I would love to go to the Bahamas. Sun. sand and beaches!
I would like to take my husband to Hawaii. He has always dreamed of going there and since we weren’t able to have a honeymoon after getting married, due to him leaving for a year long deployment, it would be a chance for us to have a romantic getaway.

I would like to go to Belize
Would go to Bermuda, I think.
I would make sure I went back to Waikiki Beach. Was the best time I ever had in 24 hours!
I would like to surprise my husband with a trip to somewhere warm, relaxing, refreshing with a great golf course where he could have his best game ever!
I just like to play with yarn and relax.
Me, too, Carolyn!
I would want to go to Hawaii. No where in specific, just as long as I am in Hawaii!

Hawaii to visit Pearl harbor.
Hawaii. We haven’t been on vacation since our honeymoon 11 years ago & this is where we’ve consistently talked about going.
I would definitely go to the Galapagos…I’m sure the wildlife would be amazing!
Oh, that’s a really good one, too! I second that.
I would go to an out-of-the-way tropical hiding place. It’s been a rough past few years and the peace and quiet of a non-tourist warm, sandy beach on the ocean sounds like heaven!
Thank you!
I would want to go to an island that is private or has very few people on it.
If it has to be a tropical island, then I would probably choose somewhere in Hawaii. If it could be any island, it would be SIcily … I’ve always wanted to go there!
Hawaii, warm, wonderful and beautful any time of the year!
I’d love to be on any white sand beach with crystal blue water with my husband and a drink in my hand.
I would go to Hawaii with my husband. Neither of us has been there and we didn’t take a honeymoon, plus it is his dream vacation!
Hawaii
Bonaire! My sister has a timeshare there and I love seeing her gorgeous pictures. I haven’t been on a vacation in three years . . . . . single Mom of 2 college sons. I can have my knitting/crocheting bag packed in 5 minutes!
i would take my husband to england, he could sample to food while i bought up english knitting patterns.
Tahiti!
I would love to take my husband to the big island of Hawaii as we never had a honeymoon and he has never seen the ocean.
Sicily is technically a semi-tropical island, but I would take my mother there. I was just thinking yesterday that I need to get her there while she’s still healthy enough to travel. Mom can visit with family. Since I don’t speak Italian, I’ll knit (which is the closest thing I know to a universal language of love).
Sicily is one of my top picks, too, Pam — even though I don’t speak Italian either.
I live in Vermont…ANY tropical island will do!!
havent been to any southern destination so a quiet island with little tourist stuff would be sweet, sea breezes white sand my husband would be paradise to me.
Utah, the colors are so wonderful, warm and bright. The air so clean and fresh, The miles of open spaces. Nothing like my home.
I would love to go to any of the Caribbean islands. The Bahamas, maybe, or Jamaica.
I would take my whole family to the Bahamas!
I would like to go with my family to the Bahamas…
Lounging in a hammock, swaying in the breeze, sipping a fruity drink (umbrella optional) watching the water and fish below me while in Tahiti.
The tropics aren’t really my thing, but it would be fun to explore Florida, especially the keys.
The tropics aren’t really for me either, Cindy, but I was thinking New Zealand. Not sure it’s tropical, though.
I think I’d go back to Belize.
Back to Ireland. And this time really trace my.ancestry

I love Cozumel. It is laid back, warm, and some of the nicest people… I finished a shawl when I was there the last time. I got all sorts of comments both from staff at the hotel and other guests.
I would love to visit St Lucia
Growing up and living in the Mojave desert, just about any tropical location with a beautiful beach would be wonderful! Any of the Polynesian islands are drop dead gorgeous, and offer so much adventure!
That’s a tough one, but I’d have to say Galapagos. There are so many unique things to see there, on the island and diving! It’d have to be one of the Ecco tours though, the regular tours are doing too much damage to the island.
I would love to take my husband to an island that is not as commercialized
as all the rest, quiet and peaceful with simple pleasures, no gimmicks.
I would love to visit Fiji or Tahiiti. They both present such beautiful, vibrant colors that I would love to soak them all up!
Jeju Island
I would love to go to Hawaii, to see the sights and experience the waves, lava and aromas.
Jamaica!
I would love to go to the Turtle Islands in Fiji. For our honeymoon my husband and I went on a cruise that was supposed to go to Jamaica. The route ended up being re-routed due to weather & a sick passenger on the ship that had to be picked up by a helicopter. We were taken to a totally different island that was no where near the likes of Jamaica! Would like a honeymoon re-do…please.
I read the rules and the statement about a gif card for $100. It says what kind of YARN would you buy. I’d love to try some of the silk mixes or even some of the soft wool. Now if its a vacation we are trying for, I have always wanted to go to Ireland
I don’t know if this counts as tropical or not but I’d love to go to Greece. I think the sea looks beautiful there!

I have always fantasized about Kauai. I guessed I watched the movte South Pacific one too many times. The film was actually filmed there

Palm beach
Hawaii, Baby!
The Seychelles Islands…and take my yarn with me!!
I put the wrong email address!! The Seychelles, of course!
I would love to visit Hawaii. We were there 30 some years ago when my husband was doing some entertaining for a military occasion. We had a small child, and were only there for a short time as we were travelling on to Thailand. So, we were in Hawaii, but we saw very little. I would really like to visit Maui especially.

I have my heart set om Bali
Where would I go? The Caribbean. I have a deep, deep love for the Age of Sail and of the Golden Age of Piracy, and I’ve always wanted to visit the places where they operated; especially Tortuga, because, you know, that was THE hangout back in their day.
Plus, it’s just a beautiful place, and it’s easy to see why they picked it to work in, on scenery alone, much less the ease of getting away with it. c:
I have always wanted to go to hawaii
So many places I’d want to go, but to pick just one I’d say the Maldives!
I would love to go to Hawaii. It looks so beautiful in the pictures I’ve seen. Maybe one day!
Bora Bora…..to have a hut above the water and dine in the water with your closest friends and family around the table would just make my life complete. To have the ability to make that a reality is beyond words…
Peutro Rico would deffinatly be mine and my husbands destination choice!!! his family is all from there but unfortunately he has never been and ive just never been anywhere tropical in my whole life!

From FB post, I would love to get any yarn that is less than 50% wool (allergies) and love bamboo, silk and cotton…

I would go to Islamorada in the Florida Keys. There is still some of the old flavor left of days gone past, and it is beautiful.
I would love to go to the Virgin Islands or Hawaii, yet any tropical vaca would satisfy me immensely! ( : As someone else posted, not sure if we were suppose to say our favorite yarn… I saw a gorgeous 1950s color way – yum!!! I have “liked” both FB pages. Thank you!!! Stephanie

My husband and I would love to go to the Hawiian Islands.
I would go to Hawaii with my family.
I have just begun to walk without a cane for the first time since a car accident 10 years ago, which left me disabled. I’ve never been to a tropical island, so now would be an ideal time, as I could actually walk on the beach! I’d love to see Hawaii, as I’m a serious coffee drinker, and the many colors that I would see there would be great inspiration for a beautiful throw, perhaps an interpretation of a sunset over the water… Ahh, to dream!
The Bahamas would be a great place to go
I would love to go to the Caribbean. I never truly been on a vacation and dream of beaches with my fruity little drinks.

My husband and I will be celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary in February 2014 and a trip to Hawaii would be a fantastic way to celebrate.
Either Hawaii or one of the Caribbean islands.
I’d go with my husband of almost fifty years to Hawaii and enjoy every minute of it.
Hawaii or the Caribbean. Crystal clear water and warm sand all around.
I’d love to visit Hawaii just one time before I die!
Fiji, without a doubt!
I would definitely love to go to Hawaii. No need for a passport and I loved it the first time I went as a child. 🙂 Good luck everyone!
I have always wanted to go to Hawaii.
Hawai’i would do it for us – second honeymoon to the only state neither one of us has ever visited!! 🙂
Little Corn Island off the coast of Nicaraqua looks interesting. The locals are big on ecotourism. When and if I would tire of the sand and sun, I would make some projects with yarn! (hint, hint!!)
I would go to the island of Krabi in the Gulf of Thailand. I’ve never been there but I’ve seen pictures and it looks heavenly with amazing rock formations rising out of the water.
Anywhere but here

I would love to go to Australia on a southern beach where I could relax, knit and crochet, sight see and come home feeling completely refreshed and ready to tackle my yarn stash for gifts for family, friends and charity.
I’d go back to St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. I was there many, many years ago as my ‘graduation present’ from my parents. My maternal Uncle and Aunt lived there as he was ‘stationed’ there working for AT&T. I love it and have always wanted to go back. My second choice would be Hawaii and my third would be going to Atlantis Bahamas.
That’s where I was born 🙂 Left when I was 4 but I recently got to go back. It was pretty awesome. If you get to go again, try to get locals to show you some of the less touristy places. We went to Magen’s Bay because that’s where most people go, but try going to some of the lesser known beaches.
I’d love to go anywhere that has white sand beaches, clear blue waters, and of course yarn shops 🙂
I think I would go to Bermuda, that sounds like the perfect place to wear a tropical colored shawl

The Bahamas for sure!! 🙂
I would love to see the beaches of Thailand and Indonesia.
I would go to St. Kitts/Nevis. Just as beautiful as others but less crowded

I’d go to Aruba, and re do our vows,,,since we only had $7.00 in our pocket, only $2.00 after we gave the pastor $5.00 and no brakes on our car when we got married in 1974… no honey moon and a grocery store’s freihofer’s birthday cake with the happy birthday smeared off…to look like a wedding cake.
The island of Dominica where I’d love to find a comfortable spot in the parrot reserve and spend the day watching the rare parrots and relaxing!
Live off a sailboat around the US and British Virgin Islands. Maybe cruise over to San Juan, Puerto Rico
Bermuda!
I would love to go to Bora Bora, Tahiti, Fiji, Eastern
Caribbean, New Zealand, Australia, Costa Rica.
Aruba! It’s so clean and the people so friendly. We saved up and went in 1996 but haven’t been able to get back. We just celebrated our 23rd anniversary October 11 and it would be like a wonderful Second Honeymoon. Our choice is definitely Aruba! Thank You.
Any secluded island that I can get to by boat and just live off the land and enjoy the peace and quiet and I would bring my crafts to do while there.. oooo I can see it now. I feel the sun on my face and the calmness wrapping all around me. Ooooo lord let me win this…….!! 🙂

We would go to Hawaii
Somewhere in the Caribbean…maybe St. Thomas.
Not quite tropical, slightly more subtropical, and a bit unusual as a choice, but I’d either choose Okinawa or the Ryukyu Islands of Japan.

Sanibel … I’d go to Sanibel. Spend a couple weeks there and loved it. Would enjoy going there again and staying even longer.
I would LOVE for my husband and I to take a trip to Jamaica!!! We are about to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary, but have never been able to financially take a trip. What a wonderful anniversary it would be to spend it somewhere like this with him!
I recently attended the CGOA Knit and Crochet show and took a great shawl class from the infamous Marty Miller. We were all given some of Drew’s new yarn. I really, really liked it. I’d love the chance to win some more. I have some fantastic shawl pattern ideas bouncing around in my head.
Hawaii. We’ve never been to any tropical island, so really any one would do!
Probably either Puerto Rico (no passports required & I already speak Spanish) or New Zealand (blogging friends of spouse, LOTR/Hobbit-related sites and lots of local yarns!) by way of Midway Island (born there, haven’t been back since infancy).
I would go back to Hawaii, went when I was a kid, and would like to go back when I’d be able to fully enjoy the trip.
Tahiti or Hawaii would be nice
My choice right now would be Okinawa – my son is assigned to the Naval Hospital there working with the Infant Toddler program – I haven’t been able to afford to visit him so going would be a dream come true – since the weather is so tropical and the beaches quiet it would be a perfect place to sit and knit.

I have always dreamed of going to Hawaii. I became physically disabled in 2007. I have two lung diseases for which there is no cure. I have a chance to go on a Caribbean cruise in January. Unfortunately, being on disability, I don’t have the money to go. I have never flown in my life. I want to do this before I die, but it is highly unlikely that I will ever go. As my diseases worsen, it will get worse, until I will never be able to go. I love, love, love yarn and crocheting, as well as knitting. Jesus is on His throne, and if it his His will, somehow it will happen. Blessings to you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth

Hawaii – have family there and have heard how beautiful it is there. or Australia – friend and her husband have retired there.
I’d love to visit Hawaii
I’d go on a cruise to the Caribbean!

I would love to go to Curacao with my hubby.
St. Croix. lovely
Give me a deserted island anywhere close to the equator. I don’t care if I have to rough it as long as I have quiet and solitude.
Hawaii!!!
I have lived in the Midwest all of my life. The winters are harsh and lo-o-ong. A few days in a place with warm tropical breezes and a spot on a beach would be a little bit of heaven. There are so many wonderful places on this earth to see and have the opportunity to get a feel for another culture. Any time I travel I like to find the local yarn and fabric stores so I can both bring something back that means something to my crafting self and that also helps support small local businesses.
I would really enjoy the relaxation of a ‘Dream Stitches Island’ … or any other peaceful location filled with sunshine, warm sand, pleasant breezes, cool water, delicious foods, happy music and very few biting bugs. My favorite would be where I could be undisturbed and unhurried in my appreciation of nature as I attempt to create images of it’s beauty in stitches!
I’d take my husband to Sint Maarten/Saint Martin. We have dear friends down there that we haven’t seen in decades!!
As cliched as it may seem, I would like to go to Hawaii. I have a former shipmate currently stationed there, who has been trying to get me to visit for a while. I would like to take my parents, especially to see the Might Mo and the rest of the memorials on Battleship Row. I only ever got to pass the Arizona as my ship came into port. Did not get to get off the ship to actually see all of it. Have not been on the Missouri since before they moved her from Bremerton to Hawaii.
I’ve heard great things about Tahiti!
If I had my choice, I’d go to Johnny Depp’s private island in the Caribbean. And I would maybe never want to go home….
We would go to the underwater hotel in Dubai!
I would love to go to Africa with my husband. We have always wanted to go just to see the animals and the beautiful scenery.
I would return to Hawaii and visit all of the islands. When I was 11 y.o. my family visited Maui and Oahu. There is so much to see and enjoy! I have always wanted to return and revisit my memories of Pearl Harbor, Pali Lookout, Seven Sacred Pools, and Swanzey State Park! Plus, I would love to make more memories, too! Maybe I’d even do a yarn crawl among the islands.
I would love to go to the Florida Keys. I grew up in So Cal and have seen the Pacific but I have never seen the Atlantic. I hear it’s beautiful.
I would love to go to either Hawaii or any of the Virgin Islands (US or British )
I had an afternoon stop in St. Thomas back in 1983. I would love to go back to St. Thomas and spend time really enjoying the beauty there.

Hawaii–Maybe the big Island or Oahu this time…
I would go to St Croix with my boyfriend since he’s from there and I’ve never been.
Hawaii
it’s so hard to decide! i guess i would choose to go to Jamaica, because of the food, the culture and the people!
After reading all these posts, I realize I have a snowball’s chance of winning. Never being outside the U.S. and having a bad back would make it hard for me to go very far….so I think I’d choose Sanibel Island off the coast of Florida. Or maybe south of Tampa, where it’s truly warm during the winter months. My hubby and I never had a real vacation in all the 36 yrs, of our marriage, but I’d love to have just one before we leave this world. I dream about it. I wish for it. Can’t imagine it really happening, but it makes for nice dreams. Thanks for sending me off to dreaming again, Drew. Thanks for the chance too. It’s always fun to hope.
Anywhere would be great!
I’ve heard wonderful things about Aruba!
Maybe some Greek island, but with 6 children that’s highly unlikely. 😉
Jamaica….rum drinks, good food, friendly people, warm weather. Sounds like Heaven to me.
I think Ive answered this already & if I have, I apologize, if I havent, I apologize for the deja vue! Jamaica or some quiet Greek Isle.
I would love to explore more of the Yucatan Penninsula in Mexico with my husband. I’ve only been to the ocean once for my honeymoon almost 10 years ago!
i would go to the big island of Hawaii! !!
It’s boring, but I’d go to Hawaii. I’ve never been, and it would be a good excuse to go back to CA on the way.
BELIZE
I would LOVE to go to Australia 🙂 Lots of sheepies there for woolsies!
Back to Hawaii to visit another island, Kauai, maybe.
This Colorado girl would love to travel to the Seychelles. Really, any tropical island retreat would be a magical adventure!
Hawaii.
I’d go to Hawaii with my husband — either the Big Island or someplace I’ve never been, like Lanai!
I would love to go to Key Largo. Hubby and I never had a honeymoon and it would be nice to have some worry free us time.
I would go to Bermuda to search for the boy I had a crush on when I was 16. Shh! Don’t tell Peter.
I would love to take my husband to Jamaica. We have never been able to afford a honeymoon, and this would be perfect. I went there by myself last year to be my best friend’s matron of honor, and it would be wonderful to take a time out from our vey stressful lives. 🙂

Where would you go for a tropical island getaway? Bonaire please
I think Hawaii would be nice.
Hawaii
I’m not sure which island I would choose., we never had a honeymoon 23 years ago, so any island would be fabulous! I’m thinking maybe the one I saw that had huts out in the water with glass floors! Looks beautiful and very romantic!
Antigua or St. Croix
I would go to Maui, Hawaii. It is so beautiful and feels private at the same time, especially during the off season.
Probably Hawaii, since I’m moving to WA and that would be the most convenient from there.
The Cayman Islands
Castaway Cay
How about Hawaii!

Anywhere the water is that really pretty aqua blue and there is sand!
With yarn and needles, I’d go to Bora Bora and allow the beautiful setting to inspire my knitting…of course, I’d go alone…no sense in messing up a perfectly good getaway with a significant other or kids…Mama needs some ALONE time to knit! HA
I would like a island in the Bahamas
In the late 1960s I lived in the Panama Canal Zone and my mother and I visited the San Blas Islands. The weather was idyllic and the people were wonderful. I would go back there and hope that it was still the same untouched, unspoiled paradise it was when I was there.
Like so many others, Hawaii calls – but just to be different I choose the Azores as a stopover on a transatlantic cruise to the Greek Isles.
Hawaii, it’s always been a dream to go one day, but probably only in my dreams now since I’ve lost my jobs and home.
Well, you really can’t go wrong choosing a tropical island, can you? If I could choose any in the world, I’d choose Zanzibar. There’s a wonderful mix of ecology, history, and culture there and I love any excuse to spend some quality time in East Africa. Swahili, sea turtle sanctuaries, and textile markets–how could I go wrong?
Anywhere with white sand clear blue water and umbrella drinks… Take me away to Paradise.
Actually, I would make it for my sister-in-law who took my daughter for her semester abroad and got her settled in her flat in Scotland. I couldn’t go because I am a school counselor and it was the beginning of the school year. She spent a lot of her own time and money to make sure my daughter got settled ok. I can repay her for her kindness, but a beautiful shawl to wear in the islands would be perfect. She could take my brother and they could enjoy some time away.
Florida Keys
Hawaii. I have a friend living there I haven’t seen in ages, and I don’t need a passport to go!
I would like to go back to Puerto Rico but this time with my husband. I grew up on the island and would love to return to see my old friends and family plus introduce my hubby to beautiful and relaxed island life.
My husband and I adore Hawaii…it would be a tough choice between that and Fiji, which we’d both like to visit…so it would be wonderful to have that tough choice to make! 😉

Any island would be fine with me! Each one is rich with its own history and culture. I would love to learn how yarn was used in their history. To learn their techniques with a hook or needle.
At 67, I’ve spent most of my life in the vicinity of home. Not a bad thing at all, but maybe a Caribbean island? I could enjoy laying on a beach with no work to do!!

Tropical–anywhere…
Our 50th wedding anniversary is coming up before long, and we have always wanted to go to the South Sea islands in the Pacific via Hawaii. That trip would be a dream come true. Thanks.
I would love to go back to Hawaii. I have been there a couple of times to escape from the Christmas Holiday Season because I had lost my parents in a plane crash then on the exact date 27 years later I lost my oldest in son in another freak accident. I would love to go back and not have to escape from memories.

Runaway Bay, Jamaica, mon!

i don’t know if it’s tropical or not but i would like to go to haiti to see if there is anything i could do to help the people that are still homeless and without food.
I would love to go to Barbados
I’d go to Tahiti, specifically Rangiroa, a string of coral encircling a luminous turquoise and jade-green lagoon.Because: “Are you up for a Robinson Crusoe experience? Get away from it all and escape to a deserted island in the middle of the South Pacific. With only five hand-crafted bungalows, no electricity, or telephones, the Kia Ora Sauvage guarantees a unique experience.” What could be better?
Hawaii, definitely!
Take me to Hawaii
I wouldn’t want a tropical getaway, I don’t do well in hot, humid climates. I’d rather go to the Swiss Alps.

Definitely Bora Bora, tiki hut on the ocean and sand as far as you can see
I would love to visit a small island outside of Quebec, Canada called “ile Aux Coudres”. I used to go there with my Maternal Grandparents during the summer breaks and I have such great memories!
