An apple a day may keep the doctor away, but it also may keep you crocheting and knitting all through apple season! I just went apple picking last weekend with my sisters and we had a blast! We fell in love with a new apple called “Blondee” which mysteriously appeared on a red apple tree. They took this apple and made many Blondee apple trees from it. As we were picking, we kept calling it the “mistake apple” and making other funny remarks. It’s a super sweet and juicy apple and I think I’ll be eating one every day until they’re gone!
Speaking of sweet, apple crochet and knitting patterns are just as sweet as a real apple. While you can’t eat them, they’ll last from year to year to remind you to go apple picking with friends and family. Or perhaps you want to knit a hat to look like an apple for a little one’s first apple picking adventure. There are lots of little accessories in this pattern round-up with an apple theme so be sure to check them all out!
Apple Crochet Afghans
Mmmm, I can’t wait to drink some hot apple cider this fall! Picture reading a good book while snuggled up under one of these apple afghans. It’s the perfect fall combination for any crocheter who loves apples and cooler weather.
Johnny Appleseed would be jealous of apple crochet and knit accessories! From cute apple key chains and place cards to apple coasters (for that apple cider I mentioned earlier), you’ll love this tiny and cute apple patterns.

Protect your apples! Apples tend to bruise easily (just ask my sister who dropped three of our apples this morning…). It’s best to protect them when packing them in your lunch. These crochet cozies will provide just the right amount of protection and they are super cute as well.
