If you’re anything like me you don’t have much time for crocheting. With that said, I will always consider myself a beginner since I can’t practice as much as I’d like. I know what you’re thinking, if you love to crochet you make time for it, right? When I do have time, I like to try new things, things I’m uncomfortable with so I can learn something new. One of the techniques I have a difficult time with is the slip knot. I know it’s just the starting point of a crochet project, but I have a tough time with it.
Anneliese from Aesthetic Nest has come up with a great tutorial on how to crochet the slip knot. This is a fabulous step by step tutorial with images and explanations. I’m hoping that once I go through this tutorial, I can consider myself an expert on the slip knot.
My favorite project that starts out with the slip knot are these Ruffle Flip Flops. They’re perfect for the summer!
Do you have any tricks in perfecting the slip knot?

Call me crazy, but if what you do works, why worry about it?
Looked like it to me when you were doing those YouTube vids for your swirly granny afghans. :>)
Which I *love*, by the way.
