I have never used yarn before but love these patterns and plan to now.
I haven’t yet, but will this year. These patterns are great!!
Yes, I have. Crocheted jar toppers with apple slice ties to go on my homemade apple butter for Christmas gifts last year. I think that counts? I also crocheted peppermint “starlight mint” pins that I added to gift packages & handed out to the nurses that were caring for my husband while he was in the hospital over Thanksgiving & Christmas. I’ve used bulky weight fluffy yarn instead of ribbon for ties & bows, etc. to wrap packages, also.
Yes I have I have made snow man and angel ornaments for on top of christmas gifts instead of bows
My family stayed over for Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas morning opening of presents one year. Since the children were four years old and under and couldn’t really read their names, I wrapped each child’s presents in a separate yarn color. This way in case they got up before their parents, they would know what presents were theirs by the color of the yarn. Worked out very well, because you know they were up before the roosters!!
Thanks
I have used yarn remnants in place of ribbon on many occasions with pompoms instead of bows.
