I like to make scarves, shawls, hats, & other small wearables.
I enjoy making afghans for gifts. The joy of a recipient seeing a lovely afghan (or baby blanket), and their sincere apprecitation of the many hours spent crafting it, is rewarding. I do also enjoy baby sweaters.
Washcloths. They are quick, easy and a great way to try out a new stitch.
Hands down I love to make baby blankets for to give at baby showers or family. When my first grandchild was born I went crazy and make him four blankets and finished all by October 2013.
My favorite thing to crochet has to be infinity scarves. They are so easy to make.
I love crocheting blankets, especially as gifts, but I’ve recently ventured into crocheting children’s clothing. So much fun!
My favorite things to crochet are doubled sided throws. Love to make them for adults and kids! !
For a quick project like to make hats. They work up fast and look pretty
My favorite thing to crochet lately is amigurumi dolls. All sorts of them. I am also trying my hand at modifying patterns to adapt them to my own idea. Basically learning from others and figuring out how to make other things from it. So, basically my favorite thing to crochet is anything that allows me to be creative. Lol Happy “I Love Yarn Day” week to all!
My favorite is afghans. People love them as decoration and grabbing one to take a snooze. I also put alot of prayer into my afghans so that way my loved ones are covered and can stay warm too.
Baby blankets! They’re small enough so they don’t take too long and I often try out new stitches with them.
Congrats! There are tons are lovely patterns for babies and children. Enjoy!
I am a beginner, so I love anything easy enough for me to make, and beautiful enough to share with friends, like afgans and scarves.
Oh, it’s hard to pick just one! I guess my favorite right now are Amigurumi animals. I have a book from Leisure Arts and Red Heart of Farm Animal patterns and they are ADORABLE! So far, I’ve made the cow and the pig and I sold the pig to a sweet little girl at a recent craft fair. She loved it so much, she wants to learn to crochet and I am now her crochet teacher! So happy to be passing on the love for fiber arts to another generation! Thanks for the chance to win this beautiful yarn!
I thoroughly enjoy making Prayer Blankets for Hospice in order for the patients to have a special blanket to know that people care and hopefully give them comfort.
My favorite things to crochet are scarves and shawls. My newest projects are prayer shawls. I have seen many good patterns, now I have to try a few to see which one fits my hand best.
I love crocheting afghans for my family members, and I love crocheting burial clothes to donate to hospitals ..
I love making granny-square afghans. I do a lot of traditional granny square afghans for Project Linus, but I also do a more solid/fewer chain-space “holes” version, both for baby afghans and pet blankets (made for Snuggles Project). I often will have single skeins of any one color in my yarn stash, and granny squares are a fantastic way to stashbust through them without worrying about having things match exactly.
My favorite thing to crochet is amigurumi animals! They’re so cute!!
Love making large baby blankets that will last a lifetime as they grow, each baby in our family has been given a special blanket made by “momm, auntie, sister”, me!
My favorite crochet projects are shawls, afghans and scarves. So much to do, so little time!
My favorite thing to crochet are clothes for my grandchildren.
I love making baby blankets and throws in bright colors for our local children’s hospital.
I love to crochet afghans for my grandchildren and other family members. It helps pass the time while taking chemo & radiation treatments. I plan to make Lapghans for other patients going through treatment. It helps knock the chill and gives a sense of security. I’d like to recruit others to join in and help.
I love the amigurumi dragons and wash clothes and other quick and easy projects.
I enjoy crocheting hats..
I like crocheting anything for babies
I love making baby blankets and hats to give as gifts.
I used to love making toys, but it’s been years since my last one. I have a pretty mile-a-minute afghan pattern memorized, so I guess that’s probably my favorite!
My favorite things to crochet are baby items, blankets and booties.
I enjoy crocheting sweaters for my grandkids
my favorite thing to crochet would be baby things — hats, booties, and blankets! Love to give them away!
Since I’m just getting back into crocheting, my favorite thing to crochet has been items for 2 of my 3 granddaughters. I’ve been looking for just the right throw for my oldest and I think this is the one!
I enjoy crocheting hats!
My favorite thing to crochet are prayer shawls, I love giving these to people that need them. I pray over the shawls in hope of healing to the person that receives them. I attach a prayer to it so they know that it was made out of love.
Baby blankets, hats, scarves….I don’t think I can really pick a favorite. All fun for gifting!
I love crocheting afaghans
I love crocheting all different kinds of blankets. I usually have 2 or 3 going at the same time so I don’t get bored with the particular pattern or stitch. I have been making one for a family member and making one to donate. I donate most of my blankets to Project Linus in memory of my son who passed away 5 years ago. He was such a giving person and he would be happy knowing that crocheting blankets to donate to less fortunate or fragile children is what has been helping me cope with his loss.
Ever since I finally figured out how to crochet (after countless people tried to teach me thru out the years!) it’s been all about the afghans for me with the occasional venture into scarves, slippers, washcloths, and baby stuff for family and friends. My husband says that with all the afghans we have stashed around the house…we will always be warm and are ready for the zombie apocalypse when it comes…
Favorite thing to crochet is a blanket, esp using a new pattern, and then gift it to an unexpecting recipient!
My favorite thing to crochet is anything that blesses someone else! I love to make things for people!
I have been crocheting since I was a child and love to make anything that has a challenge to it. My extended family all love the items that I have made for them. Also I make different blankets that are given to a school for special needs children to be used as part of their fund raisers.
I love to crochet things for babies! I always crochet a little hat for every baby shower I go to.
My favorite thing to crochet? The project I am working on right now (whatever the project may be). Crocheting is very relaxing and it gives me something to do with my hands. Hats, mittens, scarves, blankets, and baby sets are all the project now for the Mitten Tree at my church. A Christmas tree is set up in the foyer and everyone decorates it with things they’ve made or bought (*gasp*). The week before Christmas everything is taken and donated to the local shelter.
I love to crochet baby blankets and a lot of other stuff. Just started learning on how to make clothes
Doilies, bedspreads, afghans…
Lately, I’ve been crocheting amigurumi play food and little items for my 2 year old, as well as some seasonal things – tray full of cookies, candy corn, cupcakes, fortune cookies, toddler sun visor, little chick friends, big stuffed pumpkin, acorns, fall leaves, skull appliqué …..whatever pattern I find that I can finish during her nap (!!) or after she goes to bed, or ones that really don’t take too long to complete. Soon, I’ll start on winter holiday items….
I will make lapghans for clients of our local Meals on Wheels and/or Visiting Nurse Service.
I love making baby gifts! Stroller blankets and lovies with elephant heads are my favorite. I just completed a graphgan for my 2nd cousin, she was thrilled with it!
I prefer smaller projects, anything from miniature teddy bears ( 3″ high or so ) to doilies to scarves , mittens, etc. I love crocheting or knitting Christmas tree ornaments for my friends and family…..they actually are disappointed when they don’t get a handmade gift !
I would make a shawl wrap for my mom. She loves all the stuff including the crochet shawls I make.
🙂 HAPPY YARN WEEK!!
I love Amigurumi’s! I’ve only been crocheting for a little less than a year and I’m HOOKED 🙂 I’ve made baby blankets, slippers, headbands….but my favorite is Amigurumi’s!
I love to crochet to keep my sanity.
I love to crochet stuffed animals.
After a major hand surgery, 16 years ago, I had to stop crocheting baby blankets. I donated them to frg groups to place in new born baskets given to the moms of newborns. My daughter wanted to donate a scarf to the homeless a couple years ago so I picked it up and tried my hand at it. Since it no longer hurt me to crochet I kept up with it. I make baby blankets again :-). Lapghans, hats, scarve, booties and ect.. Anything to challenge my crocheting skills. I use it as therapy for my wrist to help keep movement in it. I find it relaxing at the same time. What can I say, a skill I thought was lost forever is finally back and my Grandmothers teaching me at the age of seven has not been wasted. I Love the artistic side which I am about to dive into by creating a new pattern and I can not wait to see how it will turn out.
My favorite stitch I just recently discovered is the Tunisian stitch. It opened up my world to another level of crochet crafting and it gave me a chance to buy more crochet gadgets…Afghan hooks!! I love this stitch which looks advanced but it’s really quite easy to learn!
I love to make lapghans. They are quick and easy and I can let my imagination run wild. I usually donate them to nursing homes and homeless shelters.
My favorite thing to crochet lately is dishcloths. They are fast and easy to make. But, seeing the afghan pattern above puts me in the mood to give it a go. Thanks for the opportunity to win this great yarn package! 🙂
I have been crocheting for years and have given away so many afghans. I wish I would have made a book with pictures and peoples name. I have given them all as gifts and they are as far away as Germany and Canada.
I love to crochet mittens. I got my pattern in the 1970s and have lost count of how many mittens I’ve made.
Baby blankets as gifts for all my family…and it is a very large family.
I like to crochet hats. Especially cloche style hats trimmed with flowers.
it’s hard to choose but I love one-skein projects, they are usually pretty fast and I can splurge a bit on the yarn.
I really love to make afghans. Whether I crochet or knit them, I can’t stop making them. In the last 18 months, I have made 9 afghans of which 7 went to family members, the one went to a friend, and the 9th one was donated to a group to be part of a fundraising auction. I already have begun 2 more (1 crochet and 1 knit). I just can’t get enough of making afghans!
I love making scarves, hats, and afghans.
I love to crochet baby afghans, hats, slippers, toys, doilies, tablecloths, curtains. Crocheting is a lot of fun especially with fun patterns to work
I have crochet ADD, so I’m always switching projects between afghans and shawls, although hands down I like making shawls for family and friends the best. They make the perfect gift, and work up quickly, which lets me move on to the next project without just leaving one in the middle.
I’m a beginner, so anything that has stitches I can figure out, I’m getting ready to try some washcloths
I love to crochet afghans for my friends and family.
I really love making baby blankets because the yarn is so soft and they are just the right size.
I crochet whatever strikes my fancy. Right now I’m crocheting the snowflake afghan for my DIL for Christmas. I found that completing the flakes & filler motifs for each row up until the attachment round allowed me to get the rhythm of the pattern and made attaching the flakes and filler motifs easier.
I will crochet just about anything, but I find myself drawn back to thread crochet; I’ve made many bookmarks/bracelets from old lace patterns.
I love to make dresses, tops and blankets for my little girl.
I like to crochet everything. I make lots of blankets, scarves, shawls, hats, mitts, bags, toys, and much more!
My favorite projects are afghans and scarves.
My fave right now is the virus shawl. Trying to make one in each color of unforgettable. Have six done. Two more in the works.
I’m always making hats and fingerless gloves for my kids and gifts. I also love making hats and finger puppets.
My favorite stitch is the shell stitch. i am learning how to read patterns and learning new stitches! I enjoy making small wearables, and toys.
I do not know if my comment posted my computer chose that moment to go postal on me! 🙂 I love the shell stitch. I am learning all kind of new stitches thanks to the people who share ! I enjoy making small wearables and toys.
I love crocheting baby afghans. I can try different patterns an get them done quickly so I can try another one. With 38 Nieces and nephews and I don’t know how many greats, I have lots of babies to make something for!
My favorite things to crochet are afghans, both for babies and grown-ups!
OMG…just about anything that I find interesting and / or challenging. I have so many patterns saved on my PC that I’ll have to live to be at least 300 years old to complete them all. My pattern stash runs the gamut from afghans, shawls, slippers, clothing and jewelry, to home decor, holiday items, totes & handbags, and Amigurumi. I’m currently working on a beautiful, but somewhat challenging, afghan with 48 different patterned squares that, so far, have required my using 4 different sized hooks in order for all the squares to end up a uniform size…and I’ve only completed a dozen squares! And because I decided to change the number of colors from 4 to 5, I had to completely redesign the layout, which was a bit of a challenge, too! Did I mention that I enjoy a challenge?!?
Anything I have time for, usually scarves and shawls.
I love to make prayer shawls for our group. Facebook is Prayer Shawls at Rush. These are given to those at the end stage of their lives to bring comfort to them.

Whatever I am working on at the time, is my favorite thing to crochet…It may be a scarf, a hat, a shawl, or a blanket; I’ve fallen in love with the pattern to make it for someone in my family, or one of my friends…Rarely, do I ever make anything for myself…I see a pattern and say, Oh so-and-so, would love that!!!…Then, I go buy the yarn in that person’s favorite colors, make it for them, Then, I sit back and enjoy the warm-feeling of making someone I love, so happy….
I love the knitted seed stitch whether it’s for a blanket border or on a hat or anything else. Some people find it hard to go back & forth between Knit & Purl but I find it soothing.
I have only been crocheting for about a year! I agree it’s so hard to choose just one! At the moment I am loving the bobble stitch so anything I can make with that. I make hats for my local cancer center and NICU and the hats are my most favorite so far!
I love how the yarn feels in my hands, watching an item come to fruition, patterns, and emerging patterns, mostly the feeling of joy that comes when folks wear and enjoy what I make
I love making things for my family (which I’m in the process of doing for Christmas). Just to see their faces when they open their gift is reward enough for me.
I am housebound and keep busy by crocheting. I make afghans for our veterans.
A new pattern! It’s exciting to start a new pattern and figure out the stitches. I’m doing doilies right now, and I love doing crochet stitches in #10 thread…so delicate.
Thanks for this offer. I’d like to win it.
My favorite item to crochet are hats and headbands! I’m getting ready to begin making headbands for needy children to be placed into their shoe box gift.. There are over 300 boxes to fill using the best quality yarn redheart!!
my favorite stitch right now is the Bavarian Wheel stitch, keeps me challenged but pretty easy to do. presently, my addiction is making pillows and inbetween, i make beanies i find on all free crochet patterns for a coworker who has lost all her hair. she has many ‘hair’ styles now and enjoys being my model.
I love crocheting afghans especially the crochet-a-longs here on facebook. It’s fun to see the same pattern but with different colors when others do it with you. 🙂
With a new Grandson I’m busy making seasonal hats, crocheting blankets and clothing and soon to knit his Christmas stocking. Busy but really enjoying it.
So far, I’m really enjoying afghans! The repetitive stitches is so soothing!

But out of all the things I’ve made, my favorite has to be costume pieces for my kids costumes. I’ve made pony ears and tails so my kids could be their favorite my lil pony one Halloween. I made an alligator tail so my husband could be one of the pony’s pets. I’ve made a Lego unikitty tail so my daughter could pretend to be Unikitty. It’s just so much fun finding different ways to be creative and have pretend play. I ❤️ yarn!
I like crocheting bags, especially market totes.
I usually end up making gifts in some form or other…toys or scarves/gloves.
That’s a very hard question! Sometimes I just love the repetitiveness of an afghan or scarf, but nothing beats the feeling of accomplishment when making detailed amigurumi. I’d have to say my favorite is probably zoning out in front of a good show and making a comfy afghan.
I’m back to crocheting after learning as a teenager – I just retired! The stitches came back to me and just learnt the popcorn stitch yesterday.., currently working on an infinity scarf double crochet and a slough hat – popcorn stitch – love having more than one project going at the same time!!! I take the left over yarns and make scarves (many are donated) and some of the craft items. I also crochet multiple sized blankets and donate them to the church for them to give out at their will. I even practiced making different patterned squares and sent them to a place that collected squares to make afghans for the homeless. The sweaters and new born hats for for charities also. I love to make afghans for my kids and baby blankets for my grandchildren
I really enjoy making things for my family. After a very large health issue this year, I find it enjoyable to make sure I have made something for everyone I love. To show them how much I love them and to have a little piece of me when I am gone. Everything I make for them, I put love sweat and tears into, as I am sure everyone does. But what it takes from me is even bigger, stress, worry, time, health, it all floats away as I crochet. So really it is probably a bigger gift for me to make for them.
i have recently become obsessed with making the Blueberry mornings afghan by Bonnie Bay…i have completed three, while collecting a fan club during my bus rides to and from work. I have recently started to teach three folks on my commute and two more at work.
