For the next lesson in the Learning to Read Crochet Pattern Series, I’ve created a mini exercise for you to follow along.
Crochet diagrams are like a universal language, if the world uses the same symbols, you can follow any crochet instruction as long as you know what they mean. This means that no matter what you call the symbol, in any language, it will still mean the same thing.
In this exercise, I have ramped up the difficulty level a bit more to show you more symbols to follow along with. Like lesson 4, listen to the video a second time without sound to see if you can follow along without me telling you the answers.

Do you have any nicknames for crochet symbols or stitches?

no nicknames for the stitch symbols … have just called the diagrams
‘shorthand’. easy to read, less paper; sometimes more accurate.
