Over on our sister blog, Seams and Scissors, we’re knee-deep in a charity drive whose aim is to collect handmade kitchen items (such as potholders, dishcloths, oven mitts, and the like) to donate to Love INC of Lake County, a local organization who works with churches in our area to donate kitchen supplies to families in need. The drive runs until March 25th, so we thought, why not get our yarnie readers involved in this, too?
You can help out families in need by knitting or crocheting a dishcloth and mailing it in before the 25th! We have knit dishcloth patterns and a crochet dishcloth pattern right here on the blog, so grab a skein of yarn and hop to it. There’s more in it for you than just the satisfaction of donating, too – each donation we get will enter you to win our craft prize package! Check out the main post for all the information on where and how to donate, as well as how to enter the giveaway.

Hi knittingdancer,
Thanks so much! We really appreciate the donation!
I am looking for a charity to donate cotton knit dishcloths. I have lots of cotton knit coasters as well. Any ideas on where I can donate? Thanks.
