April Draven is 28 years old and has been crocheting for 17 years (wow!). She’s a stay-at-home mom and has a little girl. She designs patterns in her free time and loves sharing them online. She tries a variety of designs that she hopes will appeal to the younger generation. She says there is nothing quite like the feeling of making something for someone and having them absolutely love it. It feels wonderful to be able to contribute and help spread happiness and love through crochet.
I picked a few of my favorite patterns from April to give you a sneak peak! See all of her patterns here.
Star Stuffie Twinkle Star Crochet Pattern – If you’ve been wanting to know how to crochet a star, this is the pattern for you! I love that this star is like a mini pillow – a pillow for stuffed animals. Kids will love putting their stuffed animals to bed with the Star Stuffie. Make many of these in different colors to add to a child’s room and liven up their bedspread. Whimsical and cute, I think I want one of these for myself!
Bullseye (inspired) Pony – I think I’m in love with this pattern. Personally I have always loved horses and I can’t wait to try this pattern out some day! When I was little, I collected horses of all kinds and shapes – but I never had a crocheted one. Crocheters have been raving about this pattern on her blog and it really is a wonderful pattern to try. Kids will love having their very own crochet pony handmade by you.
