Meet Barbara, a wife, a mother of two, a high school teacher and addicted crocheter. She loves to crochet and she’s created some wonderful patterns since she got back into the art of crochet in 2009. She loves to crochet because she feels creative, productive, and she loves the ease of using a hook and yarn to create new things. Barbara also likes to Tunisian crochet, knit, sew, quilt and embroider. She is looking forward to designing more patterns and we love the ones we feature on AllFreeCrochet!
I’ve picked out a few of my favorite patterns from Barbara, but don’t miss out on the rest!
Daisy Square – The bright and beautiful colors of this Daisy Square make this the perfect free crochet pattern to use for any spring or summer crocheted afghan. I can just picture this granny square being used to create a springtime crochet afghan!
Sunset Shawl – I love the look of this shawl. The pattern begins as a basic triangular shaped shawl, but turns into a bat wing shaped piece as you add the border. The earth toned colors are perfect for any time of the year, but the light and lacy design makes this especially appropriate for spring and summer. It’s a great item to wear over a tank top of sleeveless blouse.
Hidden Motif Geometric Blanket – Look closely – you’ll see a triangle form with every three hexagons joined together. In each hexagon is a unique crochet design allowing the overall crochet afghan to have a textured look.
