Greetings yarn lovers! This Sunday’s featured designer is Barbara Prime. Let’s learn a little bit about this wonderful knitter, shall we?
She is the creator of Fuzzy Mitten, an online shop filled to the brim with sweet and fuzzy patterns for knit dolls. Many of her patterns are darling woodland creatures and other animal friends. How did her crafting, blogging, and entrepreneurial career start? When Barbara first learned how to knit, she tried to make a toy rabbit. That was a very clever way to get into the swing of things considering knitting a doll can require several techniques. She learned a few things about knitting with just one small project. And she’s been developing her skills ever since!
Since that first toy rabbit, Barbara has created a collection of knit toy patterns that includes plenty of animals and creatures, along with patterns for clothes and accessories to fit them. She sells her patterns on her own site, Fuzzy Mitten, as well as on Ravelry. And she has a blog where she shares some of her knitting ideas and family adventures.
