Monster Crafts: Cuddly Monster Patterns

June 5, 2013 by AllFreeKnitting 7 Comments

We are no where near Halloween, but the monsters are ready to come out to play! The new Disney Pixar movie, Monsters University, comes out June 21st. We’re just weeks away from it, so I think it’s high time to start crafting your own little monsters.

Just a little background… Monsters University is the prequel to the movie Monsters, Inc. (2001). The original story is about co-worker monsters Sulley and Mike and their adventures with a little girl named Boo. In the prequel, we get to see how the two monsters meet in college at Monsters University.

Whether you follow the Monsters, Inc storyline or just love little critters these patterns will make you squeal with joy — not fear. Create a buddy for yourself or make one for your favorite human.

Cuddly Monsters

Monsters have had a bad a bad reputation in the past as being mean and scary. But don’t believe a word of it! They can be sweet and gentle pals. Check out these knit and crochet monster patterns that are perfect to cuddle with.

Adorkable MonsterThe Adorkable Monster may be a little mischievous, but all he really wants is to be noticed.

Fred the Friendly MonsterFred the Friendly Monster is just looking for a buddy, and possibly a good barber.

Hungry MonstersKeep an eye on your food! These Hungry Monsters will gobble it all up given the chance.

Monster ChunksThe pint-sized Monster Chunks love hiding in small nooks and crannies, and they enjoy being tossed around!

Swing by next Wednesday for more monster crafts in celebration of Monsters University and those loveable imaginary beings.

Which is your favorite monster from movies, books or folklore?
