New AllFreeCrochetAfghanPatterns Giveaway: Interlocking Crochet

November 2, 2012 by AllFreeCrochetAfghanPatterns 13 Comments

Interlocking Crochet by Tanis Galik

New giveaway time! AllFreeCrochetAfghanPatterns is giving away Interlocking Crochet by Tanis Galik. This amazing book provides 80 patterns and guides to various crochet techniques.

Interlocking Crochet is divided into four sections: interlocking basics, single designs (same design on both sides), double designs (different designs on each side), and projects. Galik has also included all pattern corrections inside the front cover of the book. How helpful!

Interlocking crochet is also known as double filet, inter-meshing and interweave. Panel-by-Panel AfghanYou can make everything from homemade scarves to afghans to ponchos using this technique.

I was flipping through this book this morning and was really impressed by the layout. It features step-by-step instructions, as well as color photos that are clearly labeled. There are also notes on many of the patterns to clarify the steps and add insights.  Galik then provides personal pattern tips on some of the patterns that explain her own experiences. She also provides plenty of helpful hints along the way!

Interlocking Crochet - Chevron DesignsGalik, who has been crocheting for almost 50 years, is truly an expert on interlocking crochet. Her writing style is easy to follow and understand. You can read the full book review and enter the giveaway on our site! You have until November 13th to enter. Good luck crocheters!

I would probably make an afghan or two. I have 12 grandchildren so I can stay busy making afghans, for sure.

I would love to try interlocking crochet first with a scarf. Then after learning this technique, I would try an afghan. I think afghans made this way are beautiful. I hope to win, so I can learn this. THANK YOU.

I’d start with something small, but I think this would make awesome afghans. Love to learn new techniques. Thanks!

Yup! I’d start with something small until I felt comfortable and then I’d make afghans and other items to give as gifts… and to keep for myself, too. LOL

oh I would love a copy of interlocking crochet techniques as I am trying to make a baby blanket for my first grandchild, but it is hard to find written patterns online. I would like written patterns.
