France has long been called the fashion mecca. It’s always been a huge source for trends in clothing, jewelry, and interior design. For me, it’s not so much the glittering lights and fashions of Paris, but the French countryside that inspire me. The quaint little villages, the vineyards, the tiny cottages with flower boxes hanging out the windows (think Beauty and the Beast); it’s hard not to fall in love with its charm.
The French country style is not a new trend; it’s long been a source of inspiration and admiration. I love that it can feel very homey while still remaining chic. After recently watching a film on the life of Coco Chanel, fashion icon and legend, the French country style has all that’s been on my brain. Which is appropriate since the style is usually full of bright blues and floral prints, and it is spring after all. Whether it’s a light and lacy beret or beautiful throw, there are so many ways to bring a bit of the French countryside to your home or wardrobe without ever leaving your couch. Crochet a bit of France with the help of these beautiful patterns!
