If you’re a yarnie in the Pittsburgh area, you’re going to want to clear your schedule for the first weekend in March! The Pittsburgh Knit and Crochet Festival, running from March 4-6, will be held at the David L. Lawrence convention center and is your one stop place for everything yarn and fiber. With classes, demos and a marketplace featuring knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, wet and needle felting, dyeing, fiber work and more, you and your friends can learn new techniques and have 3 whole days to try and explore! They’re also holding a Saturday evening PJ Party with yarn giveaways, desserts. and prizes, so you know that there’s lots of fun for the whole weekend. There will also be a Charity Knit & Crochet Lounge, a Creative Open Studio, a Magical Mystery Spin, a Carding Station, a Fiber Bar, and classes to teach you new and amazing skills.
Here you can see a knitted necklace – just one of the unique uses of yarn you can find at the Pittsburgh Knit and Crochet Festival. Registration is open now, so head over to their website and check it out!
