Premium Puff Stitch Crochet Hat

#725-01 White (A) – 1 skein
#725-09 Bright Pink (B) – 1 skein
#725-04 Purple (C) – 1 skein
Hook: US Size M-13 (9 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
Tapestry needle

Stitch Guide
Puff St: Yo, insert hk in next st, yo, pull up a lp, (yo, insert hook in same st, yo, pull up lp) 3 times, yo and draw through all 9 loops on hk.

HAT
With A, ch 3, work 6 sc in first ch.
Rnd 1: Work 2 sc in each sc; sl st in 1st sc to join – 12 sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 2, sc in same sp as join, 2 sc in next sc, *sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around; sl st in 1st sc to join – 18 sc.
Rnd 3: Ch 2, sc in same sp as join, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, *sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around; sl st in sc to join – 24 sc.
Rnd 4: Ch 2, sc in same sp as join, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, *sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around; sl st in 1st sc to join – 30 sc.
Rnd 5: Ch 2, sc in same sp as join, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, *sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around; sl st in 1st sc to join – 36 sc.
Rnd 6: Ch 2, sc in same sp as join, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, *sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around; sl st in 1st sc to join – 42 sc.
Rnd 7: With C, ch 1, *Puff st in next sc , ch 1, sk 1 sc; rep from * around, sl st in top of 1st Puff St to join. Break C – 21 Puff Sts.
Rnd 8: Join B with sl st, *Puff St in next ch-1 sp, ch 1; rep from * around. Break B.
Rnd 9: Join A with sl st, *Puff St in next ch-1 sp, ch 1; rep from * around. Break A.
Rnd 10: Join C with sl st, *Puff St in next ch-1 sp, ch 1; rep from * around. Break C.
Rnds 11-12: Rep Rnds 8-9.
Rnds 13: With A, ch 1, sc in blo in each st around, decreasing 2 sts evenly across rnd – 40 sts.
Rnds 14 & 15: Sc in blo in each sc around, join with sl st. Fasten off.
Weave in all ends with tapestry needle.

With A, ch 54, join in the round with a sl st being careful not to twist.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st in beg ch-1 to join.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, (Puff St, ch 1, sk next st) around, join with a sl st in top of 1st Puff St. 27 Puffs. Break A.
Rnd 3: Join B, ch 1, (Puff St, ch 1) in each ch-1 sp around, join with sl st in 1st Puff St . Break B.
Rnd 4: Join C and rep Rnd 3. Break C.
Rnd 5: Join A and rep Rnd 3. Break A.
Rep Rnds 3-5 twice more.
Rep Rnd 1 with A.
Fasten off.
Weave in ends.
