Wow I can’t believe all the great tips from yesterday’s Readers En-Gauge question. Getting started early on your gifts is definitely a smart idea. Working year round on your gifts is fabulous! It’s hard to work up projects for other people though, when there are so many items I want to make myself!
What tips do you have on knitting or crocheting for the holidays?
I enjoyed reading everyone’s tips. One that stuck out for me was “choosing a theme”. It seems like a smart idea to pick just one item to make everyone instead of trying to make five different things. You can easily make them look different with patterns and colors, but just choosing scarves or mittens is a great idea. Another great idea was “to get organized and make a list”.
As always, thank you for participating in the fun! Hopefully some of these tips will help out others.
The lucky winner is…DeAnna!
DeAnna answered:
“I make a list of ideas during the year with a couple options that I think the person would like then go from there. i also start really early in the year making things for last minute gifts like buntings(garlands), hats, spa cloths, dishcloths and such. Oh and crochet necklaces from thread make great gifts for all girls… and quick to work up.”
Congrats DeAnna! Be sure to contact us here and so we can send you a fun prize.
Have a great week!
