Happy Annual Regional Roundup Month! In case you didn’t know, we started giving you our best regional roundup of yarn events in August of 2014. We’ve made it a whole year of trying to keep all of you yarnies informed of the most awesome yarn events happening in your area. However, we know that we miss some from time to time, so we always welcome your suggestions and input by encouraging you to tell us in the comments below what event you’re attending this month. Maybe someone nearby you will be there also!
Anyway, in case you haven’t looked at the list below yet, you’ll notice that August is totally full of YARN CRAWLS! I think these things are simply the best. You get to go all over a city (or even a state!) to find some of the best shops and techniques. I’m sure you get to meet some of the best people on the way, too. Everyone participating is just as passionate about their yarn skills as you are and have all the same goals in mind. Maybe if you get lucky you can swap patterns with someone and find totally new patterns to knit and crochet.
I really think that you will have so much fun with the yarn events going on this month. It would definitely be a nice little getaway before the kids go back to school and your entire schedule changes. More rules, more homework, and more stressed out kids at homes means less time for relaxation on your part! Take these last few weeks for yourself and go have a great time at one of these fun events. Tell us all about your experience and we will be sure to take note!
