Read the full interview with Rita Weiss here.
And now for the big announcement! We asked readers how old they were when they learned how to knit or crochet for a chance to be entered to win copies of two Rita Weiss books: All About Crochet and Everything the Internet Didn’t Teach You About Crochet. The lucky winner is Lisa Landry, who said:
48 years old !! I paid my friends mother (who crochets beautifully) to make a baby blanket for me to give as a gift…and by the way, that blanket was made in Mamou, LA and belongs to a little boy that lives in Shanghai, China. Upon close inspection of that blanket, I fell in love with crochet and decided to teach myself. With the help of tutorials on you tube I have taught myself to crochet… and I’m pretty good at it if I do say so myself !!!
Congrats, Lisa! Read the rest of everyone’s answers here!
If you didn’t win, don’t worry! We’re celebrating I Love Yarn Day all week and there are still chances to win! Show us your stash here for a chance to this amazing prize that includes 2 more books by Rita Weiss, a Red Heart Yarn tote bag, and tons of free yarn! The contest ends October 12. Enter here to win!
