Imagine how beautiful these free knitting patterns will look with your nice clothes. They will pair effortlessly with anything you already own and really give your outfit an extra dose of sass.
I recently attended a wedding and I had no idea what to wear. Of course, I would have loved to buy a new dress at my favorite boutique, but I didn’t really want to spend the money on a piece of clothing I would likely only wear once. Instead, I dug through my closet and found every woman’s saving grace: the little black dress.
However, if you don’t jazz it up a bit, a little black dress can feel, well, pretty basic. Luckily, I decided to get creative (and crafty) and brainstormed ways to turn a blank canvas into a truly memorable outfit. How did I do it? By working up a knit shawl pattern. Suddenly, my standard special occasion uniform had transformed into a beautiful, never-before-seen ensemble.
Added bonus: the knit shawl was a conversation piece all night. Everyone wanted to know where I got it, and I happily informed them it was a one-of-a-kind, handmade piece.
It felt great to be able to flex my creative muscles and save some money at the same time. Plus, I now have a knit wrap I can either dress up or dress down.
