Secure tail and weave in end.
FINISHING
Pompom (optional)
Using a pompom maker or proceeding as follows, make a pompom and attach to top of hat.
Cut a 10” (25.5 cm) length of yarn and set aside. Wrap yarn around three center fingers. The more wraps, the fuller the pompom. Carefully remove wraps from fingers. With the 10” (25.5 cm) length, tie center of wraps together tightly. Fluff and trim pompom, but do not trim ends of 10” (25.5 cm) tying yarn. Use ends of tying yarn to attach pompom to top of hat.
Weave in ends.
