For the first day of #StitchWithLove week, we’re sharing the love with our gal pals!
If you’ve ever watched Parks and Recreation, chances are you’re familiar with the term “Galentine’s Day.” For those who aren’t fans of the show, Galentine’s Day, usually celebrated on February 13th, is a holiday invented by the show’s protagonist as a way to celebrate your friendship with all of your girls. I had been doing a similar thing for a few years – getting together with my friends around Valentine’s Day every year to eat chocolate and have a great time, which admittedly isn’t all that different than what we usually do. But as soon as Galentine’s Day started gaining traction as an actual holiday, I was all over it. It’s always good to appreciate the people who’ve been there for you whenever you needed it, and good friends definitely fit the bill!
This year, don’t just show your significant other that you care – chances are, they already know. Take the opportunity to surprise your gal pals with these free patterns! Nothing shows you’re thinking of them better than a handmade gift that took a little time to make. Whether your friend loves to cook, adores home decor, or just likes cute little trinkets, you’re bound to find something for all of the ladies in your life in our list below. I’ve included easy crochet patterns and knitting patterns so no matter what your skill or skill level, you’ll be able to work them up with no problem! Who knows – you might even get inspired for what to do for your sweetheart, too!
