I’ve made Herrschner’s Lacy Ripple baby afghan (MANY, MANY times) and Herrschner’s Fisherman Ripple afghan several times. Both of these look like the Victorian Lace Ripple afghan you have featured on http://www.allfreecrochet.com with the exception that they are worked with only ONE strand of yarn and a much smaller hook. They feature rows of single crochet separated by rows of lacy v-stitch crochet (12 rows of single crochet followed by 2 rows of lacy v-stitch on the baby afghan and 8 rows of single crochet followed by 3 rows of lacy v-stitch on the Fisherman Ripple afghan) Great patterns and easy to make. Both were kits from the 1970s.
