Halloween is just around the corner, but it’s not too late to crochet this adorable Candy Corn Hat by Fayme Harper. Candy corn is delicious and this hat is good enough to eat (if you could eat crochet, that is).
You will need orange, yellow, and white worsted weight yarn. Use a Size H crochet hook, a ruler (to measure that noggin of yours), and scissors. Pretty standard and nothing crazy. Fayme makes her hat 23 inches around and the average hat size for an adult is 22 inches. You can make this much smaller if you want to make one for a child.
What’s great is that all you need to know is how to chain stitch, single crochet, and how to increase and decrease stitches. That’s it. If you know how to do all those things, this crochet hat will be a breeze!
I can see this hat being quite adorable for little ones on Halloween night to go trick or treating. Maybe you could crochet a yellow sweater to “continue” the end of the candy corn hat. It’s an easy idea and the sweater can be worn again, which is more than you can say for most store-bought Halloween costumes.

Great idea! What I love about this especially is that it keeps you warm in the chilly, Autumn night while also being adorable and completely Halloween appropriate! A double whammy.
