It’s the first day of December and what better way to spend it than crocheting a snowman! Fayme Harper’s video will teach you how to make your very own Snowman Pin – and it’s super easy!
This project is perfect for using up scraps of yarn you may have lying around. For the main body of the snowman, you’ll need white baby weight yarn and a few felt scraps too. All you have to do is crochet two circles, one larger than the other. By using a yarn needle, you can stitch the two circles together. You can use any color to make the scarf for this little guy. Again, a very good way to use up scraps if you want to make a lot of of these for gifts.
Fayme uses felt to make the snowman’s hat, but I bet you could make a small granny square, or the beginning of a larger granny square. Another variation would be to sew on buttons for the eyes instead of googly eyes. It’s all up to you and what you want the snowman to look like.
I love that she uses embroidery floss to stitch the arms and mouth. You could also use embroidery floss with beads to make eyes and buttons. I could see these making really cute gifts for a senior home or teacher gifts as well. Handmade gifts are always welcome and well appreciated.
