Scarves have always been my go-to accessories. With so many ways to wear them, you can have a totally different look for every season. After a while, though, you just want something new. A while back I had found out that there was a way to knit the things I loved without needles. Now, I know knitting without needles seems a little absurd but bear with me. Arm knitting is a quick and easy knitting technique that is sweeping the knitting world. This technique adds a different texture to every knit you simply can’t achieve with needles— no matter how large. Knitted scarves that might take me hours before, now only take thirty minutes or less.
I’ll admit I was a bit of a skeptic when it came to arm knitting. I’m a traditional knitter through and through, and I don’t like too much change. However, with the Arm Knit Scarf Kit, knitting my favorite accessories has become a quick and easy process. There are no new stitches to learn since arm knitting is just like regular knitting—without the needles, of course! While I haven’t given up completely on my precious needles, I now have a new technique in my arsenal for the next time I want to step outside of the box and try something new. It’s also some pretty great exercise if you need even more of an excuse to take this new technique for a whirl.
Nicole Snow, founder of Darn Good Yarn, was a skeptic too until she cast on her first arm knit scarf. Now, we have the beautiful Arm Knit Scarf Kit to show for it. Made through a co-op program in India that works to provide jobs in developing regions, each hank of chiffon included in this amazing kit is not only uniquely made but also unique in its colors and designs. You can rest assured that no two hanks are exactly the same. Thus, any project you create will be one-of-a-kind! What can be better than creating something you know no one else can copy? Make something that is uniquely you with the Arm Knit Scarf Kit from Darn Good Yarn.
